Got a call off this person now, introduced himself as Gary. Asking me about a neighbour that passed away this summer. Strangely knew my name and got my phone number somehow. Seems like a scam. Hung up.

Be very wary about giving this guy any info at all. He is definitely fishing by the questions he’s asking, and changed his explanation twice for how he got the info he already had, what his interest in it was, and wouldn’t give a surname or a business name. In complex probate issues fraud is a definite possibility.

A guy phoned to say he wanted to help with probate for a recently-deceased relative. Not at all clear where he got our phone numbers from - he phoned three separate people. He seemed to know something about the property too. All rather vague and trying to fish for information. Most unwelcome and unsettling.

This number called me today saying they were yrying to trace family members, for probate reasons, they seem to know about my family members, but i had never heard of the person they were asking about, is this a scam ?

My partner just received a call from this number telling her that her dad had passed away and they wanted to speak about inheritance. This is not true and hope no one gets caught out by this, as my partner hadn't spoken with her dad for many years so it wouldn't surprise me if she had been specifically targeted somehow.

This number called my daughters mobile 1st June 2022 (don't know how they got it?) saying they were trying to contact me concerning my fathers passing three years ago and was my mother still living at the family property?
