Suspicious silent call to a number l no-one knows.
Appears from others this is a washing machine insurance scam, I let my answerphone answer, no message left.
Called and spoke briefly to person, they got my name wrong (called me Mr Andrew which is my first name not my surname), so I said they weren't speaking to Mr Andrew, and they hung up. I think this is a scam, be careful.
thanks. I do have two items with D&G and might have been duped by this.
person on phone claimed to be from "Domestic and General" call was about expired washing machine cover.Phoned D &G call was definately NOT from them.
was not at home when call came through at 11.00 am but been offered a warranty for washing machine some days ago, there is some crazy stuff out there at the mo, BEWARE
AGREE WITH ABOVE HAD SEVERAL CALLS WITH COMMENTS ABOUUT D&g BUT IN MY CASE NO ONE SPEAKS,THEY DON<T LEAVE A MESSAGE EITHER,I,V BLOCKED THE CALL,CALL ALWAYS HAVE DIFFERENT CODES.
Phone went dead when I picked it up. Nuisance calls
Claiming from Domestic and General, knew surname, washing machine insuance scam. Didn't guess what machine we've got, Suckers! told not to phone again, number now blocked.
asked if i was a mr holdsworth, i said no, asked if i was a relative of a mr holdsworth, again i said no, guess what, they hung up , ignorant bastards
This number called my landline at 0953 and 1418 on Tuesday 16th February 2021. In each case the call ended as soon as my phone switched to its answering facility. Number now barred.
A woman calling herself 'Rachel' phoned from this number today, claiming that the call is about a washing machine warranty. Another number called a few days ago with the same claim, saying they were from 'Domestic and General'. In both cases, a call centre noise is in the background. This is undoubtedly a scam, as I have indicated to them twice. The first time, they hung up, the second time, she said 'Alright' and then I hung up. Have blocked both numbers.
Called yesterday and asked if I was Mrs Baker (I'm not) I hung up. They have called again today.
