Yeap this awful person scammed me out of £400.00 just when I wasn't feeling well. But hey I won't be the first or last this scumbag Vanessa Lairhwaite is the lowest of the low. Stay clear do your research first I should of but didn't caught off guard. Night owl capitol who took payment and the company is The Mortgage Refund stay clear of her and this non existent company. She's a bitch, one day I hope someone finds you and locks you up.

I lost money to this crook. After some research on LinkedIn and Companies House I discovered her full name is Vanessa Laithwaite. I also asked a relative of mine in the North of England to visit the business address on their website. He told me that the premises in Malton, Yorkshire had eviction notices taped to the door. He spoke to a local shop keeper who remembers this Vanessa when she ran a wine bar at the same address. She described her as a short, overweight nasty old woman. She might still live in the local area so I will continue my search.

A lady who calls herself Vanessa and who works for Night Owl Capital … Company I found out today is dormant …. It’s a massive scam . I’m furious as have parted with £300 . She wanted another £500 today. I told her no !!! Also told her I knew it was a scam and was reporting her … who to though ?

I have been scammed by the lady who calls herself Vanessa. I paid £300 up front for my claim to go to court. She rang me today wanting another £500 . Alarm bells went off when she said they would forfeit the 25% off the money I receive from mortgage repayment as it was too much !! I’ve told her by email that I’m reporting her … Who to though ?

They keep phoning me a lady called Vanessa and want another £299

Unfortunately I forked out £150

Any updates on this? It does seem that there may be some mileage in these potential claims but I'm as cynical and suspcicious as the next guy.... so I'm keen to find out a bit more.

Most definitely a scam. Searched them online and found the number linked to 'Night Owl Capital' & 'Night Owl Mortgage Refunds'. Tracking the Company Reg No. on their website with Companies House, shows a dormant company with no trading history. My lawyer brother says they look very suspicious and the claims on their website wholly inaccurate and misleading.

Refund on Mortgages sounds far to good to be true all mortgage payments are refunded wants 150 pound per mortgage up front with no details as to contracts etc.
