0161 939 0075 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

0161 939 0075 called me today. A kind gent called 'Michael' wanted to help me clear my debt. I asked to be removed from their list. He continued to talk at me until I interrupted to tell him I have no debt. He then hung up. Had an African accent.

just received call for. This number foreign voice unclear vocabulary told her not to call my number again. She promptly phoned back four times so had to take phone off hook. If you dial number back it just gets put down. Should be closed down tyrants of the phone lines. Keep hearing this type of call is illegal yet who is prosecuting them?

Called me four times since yesterday and disconnects as soon as I answer.

Just had some stupid girl trying to tell me I have bad credit, whether I have or not is not the issue. If I want help surely would I go to Step Change or someone, I don't want to speak to someone who I have never heard of who calls me on my private number that I pay for. This whole telephone number block 0161 939 is allocated to Digital Mail Ltd by Ofcom, which the happens to be a telecommunications company based in London, who sells their telephone services to anyone including cold calling, nuisance callers, and to foreign call centres who will scam you out of hard earned money. Their telephone number is 020 7060 2000, or email them back support @ dmclub net with your concerns about these companies.

This number has called me several times in the last few weeks offering to write off my debt. Told them several times now not interested and to remove me from their list. Registered with the tps ages ago !!

Refused to give information, simply "calling on behalf of a government scheme" Clearly following a script, caller had a strong non-UK accent and was intelligible half the time. Number is operated by DMClub.net

Had a call from them today about dept management. Said I was on the TPS and they said my number would be removed. I've registered a complaint at ico.org.uk

Just had a call from this number, it was a silent call for about 15 seconds and then hung up.

Received a call today which I finally answered after missing calls all week from them since I've been working. Very rude foreign speaking lady on phone, could not make out what she was calling about. When I asked her politely to take my number off their system her reply was "I can take it off when you give me your information" with that she muttered something and eventually hung up. Have now blocked the number from my phone.

Call purportedly from Advice Solutions about unsecured finance.

Called frequently, twice again today. On answering there is silence then the call is disconnected.

Phone rang once and nothing more. Suspect a call trying to sell me something. Won't answer if it rings again.

Just took a call from this number offering to write off 90% of my debt. I told her I wasn't interested and asked her to take me off the database. Her response was nothing but rude. She asked me why she should when I wasn't even giving her a chance to talk. Erm, because this is my personal number and if I tell you not to call me, you are breaking the law by doing so, missy. Then she accused me of lying when I told her I was registered with TPS and then she hung up on me!

I had a missed call from this number. I tried calling it back from a landline number and it doesn't even ring out. this caller ID will now be on my blocked list.

Received a call today with regards to writing off a large proportion of my debt. Hung up pretty quickly.

Just had call to my mobile saying that they were part of a government initiative to write off up to 90% of my debts. Then asked how much I owed. My response was to tell her to not call me again the number is now blocked on my mobile.

They called me today saying there was a government scheme for writing off up to 90% of your debts, when I said I knew what debts I had an what I owed, he told me if I felt uncomfortable discussing my financial affairs I could speak to a senior consultant! Completely different to some other comments on here.

Keep getting constant calls from this number, when you pick up its just constant silence. If you ring back it is just music playing down the phone.

Got a call today at 5pm, left it and rung it back, hanged up straight away, so I'm guessing a fraudulent caller. 0161 is for Manchester so whoever is calling is in that area.

Some non English guy pretending to be informing me about a Gov Initiative, Thinly disguised sales call for PPI, Wills, Premium Bank accounts etc. Was willing to chat for a while when I called him back to waste some of his time.

I am on TPS yet these clowns call me about making a will and a funeral plan. Sick and tired of such invasion of my privacy.

Slammed the phone down after long pause and 'Hi' - always a sign of a cold call.

Most days they call. Ridiculous that they cannot be stopped.

They just called me, Indian accent, trying to ask about funeral services, life insurance etc and could a specially selected financial company call. I was extremely polite to this man and when I said no thanks he simply hung up. Getting fed up of PPI and accident claim voice messages on home and mobile. Surely something can be done about these idiots?!

Calling themselves Security Services UK or something. Told him he was a nuisance and to remove my number and he hung up. Reported it to ICO.

Sick of this number calling up to twice a day, I have answered it and told them we are TPS registered and to remove my number from their database, but to no effect.

Annoying calls from this number at stupid times. I'm ex-directory and on the tps register. Annoyed beyond belief.

Silent call (dropped after I said hello)

This number has in turn pretended to be a Windows Engineer who will help me with the problems they have identified on my computer, a Talk Talk representative, and someone carrying out an opinion poll. Quite often they hang up as soon as I answer or sometimes after half a line of spiel. The accent is always heavily foreign. I wish I could block the number on my landline as I do on my smart phone.

Had a call a few moments ago (16.00). Well spoken English male voice asking "may I speak to Mrs xxxx". I simply said "No, as you're obviously trying to sell me something" and hung up. I had a feeling I wasn't missing the chance of a lifetime. :)

Long silence on answering then foreign accented lady hello 3 times, before launching into her script. She said she was calling from First something or other about my insurance cover. Said thanks but not interested but she just kept right on with the script. Hung up in the end, and have now blocked.

Woman called Kim/Cam called asking for wrong person. Told they had the wrong number, said well this is the number you own so this still applys to you. Talking about my house and boilers, white goods etc. Not a home owner, hung up! Spam

Called from this number twice this week. Silence when answered. Called back today and only got music. Reported to OFCOM and ICO.

0161 is a Manchester prefix. It rang today but the line was silent. Another malicious caller. Government announced up to 5 years in prison for the perpetrators of these calls.

Had a missed call from this number on 28 October, when I called the number it just played music continuously, no auto recorded voice.

Think it same as comment about green energy twaddle (with a foreign accent!)
