I have also been receiving calls from this number but just ignored it as didn't recognise number. The comments above have been very helpful.
I get calls from this number quite frequently so I google the number and it came up with EE website saying that 'you might get calls from one of these numbers from time to time' I checked and the number was there. Just a annoying EE number so not a scam :)
Had a missed call from these guys. Rang them back and (after the unprofessional answerphone message) they started asking me if I'd called EE before and who I spoke to and what it was about. Questioned if they could see my notes on the system and he said they couldn't as I hadn't gone through security. Even though he knew my full name, as if I'm going to give my security details out over the phone to someone who rang me! Googled the number and got this from the EE website: "From time to time you may be contacted by us or our selected partners to be told about additional products and services. If you've received a call of this nature from one of our Direct Partners, you can confirm it's genuine by checking they're calling from one of the numbers below:" The number is on this list, but do I want calls from some random company who bought a list from EE to upsell calling me? Especially as I did an upgrade with EE in Jan, the f'ed it up and I'm still paying the higher line rental but without the new phone and am locked in until Jan 2016!!
This number calls me everyday about 4 times in 3 weeks ... they left me a voice mail by MISTAKE and sounds like a young girl driving saying no don't to her friend who then hangs out....
Had several calls from this number in the last couple of weeks. Each time trying to sell me broadband and a tablet. Keep telling them I'm not interested and to take me of their list. Hopefully I won't get anymore.
Like others, have had several calls to my EE android saying it's EE and asking me to call back. Haven't done so!
Got 2 calls from this number today. First one they hung up as I answered, second one I told them they had the wrong number. They continued to tell me they were from EE anyway and asked me to get the owner (coincidentally that's me) to call back as soon as possible as they have "some great news about my account"... Erm I won't bother calling back your hard sell office, which sounds like it's based outside on Blackpool promenade and that you were calling on the windiest day of the year... But thank you anyway!!
Got a call, answerd but no one was talking went on for about 10 seconds then they put phone down
This number called me and then hung up when I answered
Called with Hitchin under number - didn't answer
Called with Hitchin under number as soon as I answered they hung up
I just got a phone call from that number saying its EE and that they have good news for me but I could hear wind and cars outside so I hanged up. If EE rang me wouldn't they be in the office or something and now outside on a street?
Very bad line - said they were EE and kept just asking how my day was going when I asked what the call regarded. Looks like it's a genuine EE number but regardless, if I want to talk about my mobile phone plan, I'll contact THEM!
It is EE, but their sales team and therefore hardsell which in turn is a Scam by it's very nature. I politley advised them not to continue as I needed nothing from them, they thanked me and we both hung up. If they call again I may have to employ a tone. And let them know that I know where they work, and how to get into their building, and will next time ensure I leave a note for them... On their desk, which is two from the window, third row along from the picture of Paul at the staff Xmas party. They usually give up after that sort of thing. That or I stand up and shout accross the room at them.
Guy says he's from EE, wanting to tell or sell me stuff for being a loyal customer, terrible noise in background as if he was calling from a pub, told me to hang on at which point i hung up. Annoying!!
