01335 440005 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Solar energy advise scam with automated voice bot.

Call purported to be some kind of friendship club which would connect me with like minded people on the phone. It prompted me to press '1' to register. I didn't register - suspected they were preying on lonely people and would use my response to target me for more unsolicited calls and potentially groom me for a scam.

They asked for home owner, and then said we could have Solar Panels free if we wete entitled.

Phone quite often!! On the landlines, I don't answer because anyone legitimate would have my mobile number. So after approx six times, I search the number, the feedback was negative and I will continue to not answer.

Phone call that is likely to be a scam - but I can't find out at the moment! I've just had a phone call, a recorded message of a woman who didn't give any name or company name, saying something like (I couldn't hear or remember all of the blurb): 'This is a community message for your area about a new club which is starting soon for people who feel more comfortable chatting on the phone rather than face to face.........If you would like to be one of the first to sign up, just press 1 now - that's right, press 1 and we'll put you on the list.' The number was 01335 440005, which I called and got an AI message which was even more difficult to hear(!), basically saying that it was a market survey company and that I had got the wrong number - no idea how they would have known that! So either it was actually from that number and put there by the scammers, or a genuine company with a poor idea of leaving answering machine OGMs and whose number had been spoofed. If you do get this call I would suggest you treat it with extreme caution, as it will presumably be asking for all sorts of information from you if you press '1'.
