rings for 4 seconds then cuts off. has rang about 10 times now. i'm registered with TPS but I'm assuming if they don't actually connect they are safe from the regulations as they hope you will call back.

It's a PPI company. Here's there details: Name & Registered Office: NJE PARTNERS LTD 20-22 WENLOCK ROAD LONDON ENGLAND N1 7GU Company No. 09444986 I am on the TPS register so they should not be ringing me. They ring for 1 second and hang up. They are trying to be clever with their strategy. They are waiting for people to return the missed call as it will save them the cost of the call. Nevertheless they are asking for big trouble ringing TPS numbers!

My phone hardly managed to make a sound and they hung up. Not sure who the caller is but same story as what everyone else has already reported. Definitely not calling back to find out who they are and what they want.

Rang for a second then hung up before I had chance to answer it, leaving a missed call. Just what is point in doing this? All it does is results in the number being immediately BLOCKED.

Just called me and rang straight off as per everyone else they have annoyed. Number now blocked.

this number keeps calling and literally let the phone ring once and then hang up so you never have the chance to answer. Either they are humanoids just dialing to fulfill any 'calling' targets they are given so they can demonstrate at the end of the day/week that they have called 'x' number of people, or just as annoyingly they are hoping a gullible sap is the recipient of the call and thinks they have been cut off so calls the number back incurring high call charges. I don't know which and I don't care. Now blocked ;o)
