These websites are run by the people who make these calls. They use the info you provide them to hone their call techniques. Why else would someone pay to build and mantain a website that provides a free service? Wake up people!

Free boiler replacement and free underfloor insulation. Asked usual random questions, confirm name, address etc. Then asked about benefits. Asked why she wanted to know that and was told that people on benefit automatically qualify. I wouldn’t confirm or deny benefits position. Was still told boiler specialist would be calling me back to discuss.
My nephew had a call about an accident he’d been involved in, he said ‘wow that’s quick, they are just cutting me out of the car’, they hung up. Surely something can be done, the amount of calls are getting ridiculous.
There is also a cultured lady voice which also tries to convince you that you are going to have trouble with internet, that you are about to be raided by the police, if you dont press a number, that customs and excise will be raiding your home if you dont press 1 and speak to a bogus inspector, I try to keep them on as long as possible by pretending hearing loss and get them to speak up or repeat what they have said, eventually they get fed up and put the phone down
Hi Friends In addition to my previous post, I need to add more items. 1. Scammers are able to use, in our case, UK numbers. So even if in Russia, India, USA and etc., the number looks as if its from here, UK. 2. Scammers use mobile phones and numbers - to make you think it is an important call. This is now VERY COMMON. 3. These are scammers, and say the following as examples: - £600 has been taken from your card and you have authorised it. If you have not done this, please press 1 on keypad. Obviously, you would never had done, and key 1. Goes to the Scammer gets all your info. Says you have to put money in a safe AC account immediately. Tells you to do it, but the money is being put into Scammers account. You lose ALL THE MONEY in your Account - Scammers say your security has been breached - to immediately stop the issue, transfer the money - SAME AS ABOVE - you will give money to scammers. - You have won £500 - They want to give it to you directly into your account Bank Account. You put money into YOUR ACCOUNT. YOU are delighted - and see money into YOUR ACCOUNT, on your computer. Then the scam - he sees your account has £5000 NOT £500 YOU WON. The scammers says he will be in BIG TROUBLE - MUST RETURN THE £4500. You think these things can happen - so happily give the scammer the excess, £4500. He assures all will be fine. You being helpful give scammer the money to thinking you have won the £500. You give scammer the information to get Scammer's his money - INSTEAD HE TAKES ALL YOUR MONEY IN YOUR LAST PENNY - THEY ARE EVIL. - He profusely apologies, says goodbye with ALL THE MONEY IN YOUR ACCOUNT. IMPORTANT REMINDER - HIS PHONE NUMBER, LOCATION, ETC. ARE ALL FAKE - EXCEPT all money he has taken. Be careful to stay safe
Hi Friends India is very advanced technologically, which makes it easier for them to scam details. The calls are also from other sources - Thailand, USA, UK, Canada, and China, and VERY IMPORTANTLY, RUSSIA. Only small number, but there people are 'evil' - don't care about victims. GENERAL IMPORTANT INFO - there are good people who hate what dcammers do, and do succeed-stop them. - remember GUIDES provided free by good sources like your bank. Most, probably all. They give details about how to stop them, and help you with good results. - written guidance is given by Which? Magazine details. Take time to read and protect yourself - great news and information. A GOOD SOURCE is YouTube - has lot of: - scammers and scammers locations - Scammer-hunters locate them, but can't take any legal action - virtually impossible to identify and prosecute them. - Scammer-hunters expose these people - with good knowledge and understanding the scams - there are 100s or 1000s (+more) of scammers, There is only a low chance of stopping this and the best way to protect yourself, read articles by Which? Magazine and, importantly, advise by bank. In my case, NatWest is great at making people aware of this issue. Please take care. PG
They gain access to your pc in the hope passwords and banking are used on it. They have a lot of ways they try to get you to give the information or they put a key logger on your pc to record your keystrokes.
Had a text from this number asking for redelivery fees of royal mail parcel. It has a link to 'royal mail' sire - very convincing to those unaware of these thieving *****rds text from 07498868863 - another yesterday from other mobile number - I blocked that too. I do actually have a delayed parcel from royal mail and for those not aware of such scams/fraud I am sure would sadly fall for this. Careful folks
01617682483 I have had several call from a Manchester (0161) number over the past months but always report as spam and block. My father was in hospital recently so I have had several unknown and number I do not recognise, but have had to answer. My best advice that works for me is to ignore any unknown numbers and if it’s important ‘they’ will leave a ‘sensible’ message?
Received a call from this number this afternoon, 020 3519 1664, and before on 12th March. Caller was a man who sounded Asian, trying to talk to me about insurance. What was concerning he addressed me by my last name. When I asked him to remove my number from his database, he hung up on me. Both numbers have been blocked. Unfortunately they will try with other numbers.
