An Indian man claiming to be from Corona Energy, calling about renewing our contract... scam!

01254789652 nasty man says from EDF

Tel number 01254 789652 claiming to work for EDF very rude and when i told him that i did not want to talk to him he threatened to take our meter away. So i told him to do that and put the phone down. Then called back relentlessly and just kept putting the phone down. They most certainly do not work for EDF.

Same just happened to us. Very rude, bullying and aggressive. Claimed to be from EDF energy He also called from 08081566666. We stopped answering the phone and have now blocked his number. We have also reported this to Action Fraud.

We had the same experience

Very nasty man stating from British Gas (he wasn't), got very angry with me and kept calling all day and started shouting as wouldn't put him through to the director of our company.

Indian gentlemen claiming to be from EDF Energy, goes by the name of Peter or Jay, the "EDF Energy Manager". Very aggressive and rude. When told our manager was unavailable said he would ring back every half hour until he got him. We previously came across the same gentlemen from a different number starting with 0191 and 0333. Threatened to take our meters way and we were receiving 15 plus phone calls a day from him. When you put the phone down on him, he keeps ringing back immediately. We rang EDF Energy to complain and he does NOT work for them.

Claimed to be from eon energy and that contract ending soon. When I said contract runs to Dec 2024 they ended call.

An Indian sounding gentleman claiming to be from EDF energy who has been aggressive and rude along with threatening to cut off our supply of electricity. This is one at least 3 numbers he has called from.
