Called me berry early and I believe it’s fake as he got the starting digits to my security questions wrong
Genuine call from HSBC Fraud Detection Team - missed the call and called them back on the same number. My debit card was at a high risk for cloning and so will be replaced.
Call was from HSBC Fraud Detection team. It seems genuine, they only asked me to provide the second half of my postcode and date of birth so didn't have to hand over anymore info. I tried making a purchase for something online to an American company a couple days ago and the card got declined so that's what they were calling about.
This is NOT a genuine HSBC number. Called their website number and they had no record of any message sent or unusual transactions on my acct. Ignore any texts from this number.
Had missed call and voicemail saying HSBC fraud dept. Got suspicious so called the main HSBC card services hotline and I gave them the no and they said call was genuine and transferred me. Looks like someone cloned my card and had to cancel my card and send a new one out.
Received a call from this number claiming to be HSBC fraud detection and I was suspicious so I hung up, and called back using the number given on their internet banking app. They confirmed they had called me as my card had been used abroad (not by me). If you are suspicious hang up and call them back from a number published on their website or any letters.
This is the second time this number has called, but seeing as I was in the bank this morning, I checked if they had our phone number. No, they do not have our number yet they are supposedly calling. I'd say that was dodgy
I was a bit hesitant at first as they will ask for you sort code and account number and then characters from your phone password but I doubt someone who isn't HSBC would have been able to access my information that quickly then unblock my card.
Genuine. I'm in the UK. Someone in New York had tried to clone my card. The caller was HSBC fraud.
Smells fishy to me. After I've given the account number and sort code and they said they can't find my details on the system because they have some issues at the moment.
I got a call from this number saying they were HSBC. So I went on the HSBC website to call them and ask if it was a legit call. I gave the reference number quoted to me on the message and they said it was the fraud team calling to check to see wether or not I had used my card on a particular website... It all checked out
Legit, HSBC fraud team, checking for a large transaction on my account
Seems legit. HSBC fraud department calling me for unusal activity on my card.
Blatant fraud from my experience... First thing to come out of the woman's mouth, "can I have you're sort code and account number please"... Last time I checked HSBC had more class than this, do not call, do not give them your bank details!
HSBC Fraud team. Absolutely brilliant. Rang to tell me that my debit card had been cloned and the number used in Indonesia. Luckily the transaction was declined. They have cancelled my card and are issuing me with a new one immediately. Excellent customer service.
