Woman caller from Evan’s?? said related to a form I had submitted asking for them to check whether HMRC owed me money from child benefit payments. Worryingly she had all my personal details including NI number and also of my 2 ( now adult)children and their father. She refused to accept that I had never sent them a form requesting them to act on my behalf. She said that HMRC were almost ready to pay out but that she needed a signature from me on a form she would email over. I told her to email me a copy of the form she said I had completed and sent them. She then put the phone down. Scary. This information about child benefits was on bbc breakfast just this morning so scammers are working fast!
