Phoned my mobile then landline saying they were Halifax regarding a personal banking matter. Asked to confirm my DOb and postcode. They did not go through the normal security procedures. I asked what this was regarding and she said she could not until I confirmed my details. I then asked if there was a security breach on an account or was it regarding a different matter. Again she asked for details. I was lucky enough still to have time to get to my branch where they went through all my accounts where there was no issues they contacted the fraud department who have been inundated with these calls this week.
This number called me and asked for my date of birth and post code. I didnt reply and hung up
I missed a phone call a few days ago and they left a message. They stated in the message that it was Lloyds bank calling about a business transaction, I knew straight away it was a scam and was really hoping they would call again. today I received two calls in the space of 2 minutes, 1 to the house phone and 1 to my mobile. The first person spoke with an Asian accent, his name was Dan:- Rich " Hello" Caller " Hello, this is Lloyds bank, may I speak with a Mr Rich XXXXX". Rich " May I ask who is calling". Caller " this is Dan". Rich " Hi, this is Mr Rich XXXXX, how may I help". Dan " Can I take some details before I progress to ensure I am speaking to the correct person". Rich " Of course Dan, you fire away". Dan " May I please have your postcode". Rich " yes, would you like to suck my dick". Dan " Sorry, can I please have your post code". Rich " did I say it to quickly the first time, I will say it slower for you. Would you like to suck my dick, I promise not to come in your mouth". Dan " I don't understand you". Rich " I want to fuck you in the mouth". The phone went dead. Cheeky cunt calls me up to try and obtain my details so he can rob me and he doesn't even have the decency to suck me off before he does requires the information. Dan needs to work a little harder than this or maybe consider taking on a role that more suits his qualities. To say I was a little disappointed at Dan prematurely hanging up was a bit of an understatement as I had just started and really wanted to finish what I had begun. Never mind. I hoped he would call again so we would have this opportunity, he seemed like a really lovely man. Just as I was getting comfortable back in my arm chair to carry on watching S4 E13 of 24 ( I know, i'm a little behind the times )the phone rang again. At least it was my mobile and I didn't need to move my ass again to pick up the phone. Rich " Hello". Caller " Hello, this Lloyds bank, may I speak with a Mr Rich XXXX" The cheeky cunts are coming in for round 2, did Dan not pass on the message to his colleagues that this guy wont break easy? Again an Asian accent but this time a woman. Maybe this one had some ball breaking techniques that she had obtained from some P.O.W camps. lets go. Rich " one moment I will get him for you now. May I ask who is calling". Caller " Lloyds bank" Rich " No shit, you just said that, you must have a name?" Caller " This is Sarah" ( who the fuck calls Asian women Sarah) Rich " one moment I will get him for you now" I shouted out my own, Then decided to carry out the rest of the conversation in my poshest voice. ( I don't know why either) Rich " Hello, you require my assistance" Sarah " yes, may I take some details from you before we progress" Rich " only if you divulge some information to me first" Sarah " Yes, may I have your post code" Rich " certainly, only if I get some information from you first" Sarah " yes , what is your postcode" Rich "ok, I go first and then you follow suit, no holding back though. Would you like for me to penetrate you in the bottom with my penis" Sarah" I did not hear correctly" Rich " I would like to play in your forbidden hole" Sarah " can you repeat that sir" Rich " yes, I want to bum you with my huge cock" Phone goes dead again.
They called me today (28.10.15) and 'pretended' to be Halifax. I assume this wasn't Halifax as they have never called me especially at 7pm. Hung up!
Unbelievable - this number 0808 145 0360 has called me at least six times this week, once a day, at varying times. Got a voicemail yesterday - listened to it: it even knew my name, mentioned something about a 'business situation' and advised me to call back during office hours. Today, it rang yet again, even though it's on my reject list.
Had a call from this number. Would appear they are now claiming to be Halifax. Avoid.
Had a call from this number yesterday at 8am. The caller claimed to be calling from Halifax and asked for some of my details for security clearance. Once I asked what the call was regarding they insisted that they could not continue without confirming my details. At this point I explained that it was unusual and unacceptable to be calling at such an early hour and the person hung up. So I contacted Halifax customer service (on a UK number) to enquire and complain about the appalling customer service I had just received. The Halifax rep (lovely and helpful) suggested this might be a partner company ringing to conduct a survey. After I explained my displeasure that the person just hung up on me, I was told that correspondence would be sent on so that this number would not contact me again. I received a further call from 08081450360 this morning at 8:05am to which I not so politely told them to never phone me again and it was my turn to hang up. I again contacted Halifax customer service straight after and the rep, who again was more than helpful asked to leave the issue with them while they investigate. This lead to the discovery of this site and I have read through all the similar previous posts and agreed that I suspect this is a scam. I have blocked this contact and only hope that by making Halifax aware of this, they might be able to help us all get rid of this nuisance. I will advise Halifax of this thread when they return my call regarding this issue.
This number called my mobile saying they were from Lloyds bank. I refused to 'go through security'. A moment later the landline rang. Same number. 0808 145 0360. Looks like a scam as the same number has been reported but with the caller saying they are calling from Halifax.
Been getting two calls a day from 0808 145 3060 / 3066 since the start of the week. I had heard from here that it could be a scam, or Lloyds, who I have never banked with. So I contacted Lloyds myself, and they said it WAS genuine, but that they were likely looking for the PREVIOUS person who had my phone number (I get a lot of calls for the previous owner, despite me having had this number for two years). I also received a text from "LloydsBank" yesterday, asking me to make payment. No number for the text message is available. Just comes up as LloydsBank. Spelt exactly like that. The guy on the phone (when I made contact) said not to worry unless they know you by name. He asked if the text said "Dear Miss x" and I confirmed it didn't, so he said not to worry. If you call Lloyds, they can remove your number from their database if you genuinely feel you don't owe any money.
I have received calls from this number and decided to answer one. It is part of Lloyds banking group. If you bank or mortgage with Halifax, Birmingham Midshires or any other Lloyds group member this id their collection team number. They are only ringing your (chasing you) if you owe money or missed payments, arrears etc, etc. rather would have had a prank caller. The number is used by many call centres all over the world for Lloyds group collection. They can be anywhere in the world, this number always appears. If you ring it back it just gives recorded message, but as long as you have as you have called from a number registered on their database, they know you have tried to call them. You have a right not to give personal details over the phone, if you are unsure of the callers credentials. I would always ask for a contact number to ring them back or Google a number for a local office. Speak to a person to verify and them ask them (that person) to call you back at their cost. However if it was someone trying to scam me for my account details, good luck because unless your going to pay my overdraught and debt, you aint getting any money out. Keep safe and ignore them.
hi I had a 080 call from then and I told them my dob and postcode and how much I'm getting do you how could it affects me thank you
Had 20 calls unanswered, so finally answered and said politely "hello" I heard nothing the phone was silent so waited and they hung up, so I turned my phone off, and back on(heard that they can intercept future calls etc), they've called back today and an Asian woman called and asked to speak to me, I said yeah speaking? She said she was from lloyds bank and needed my date of birth to confirm it was me she was speaking to, I said hang on, I closed my account 3 months ago, and refuse to open an account anywhere now she said my account is still open she has seen that and it was active this morning, she needs urgent conformation it is me, I said as I said before I know that my account is closed, but I'll gladly nip in branch and clear this up, she said no it's fine you can confirm it with me, I said politely that after work I will nip into lloyds bank and go talk to them and pass on the number for them to confirm that my account is closed. Hopefully won't hear from them again !!
Had the call once and left it, answered the second time after reading on hear - it was halifax. Advised I wasn't going to answer the call and hung up.
Called yesterday, said from lloyds and demanded my DOB, postcode before there tell me what it is about. I told them I don't even bank at lloyds and they hung up. Called today (Sunday might I add) same voice claiming to be from HSBC. I don't have HSBC ethier, so I give fake details. They said they've seen strange activity on my spending. Then asked for account number sort code and my full name to confirm they have the right account! I said I didn't know my HSBC account numbers are. So asked them to wait on the phone while I get my statements. Left them on the phone for 10 mins before they clicked and hung up 😁.
They phone me 4 times a week claiming to be Halifax I started ignoring the phone call. I believe this is a scam as why would they phone on a Sunday for starters and why would they refuse to give me details to who they are and why they want my details
Had 3 calls from this number to my mobile and 1 to my parents early this morning (before 8am - as if a UK bank would call anyone that early, They are probably still having their breakfast!!) Said it was urgent to speak to me about banking issue. I went into my local Lloyds branch today and spoke to them. Nothing to do with them they have not called me. Is a scam. Indian male phoned me tonight at 8:15pm claiming from Lloyds bank about my account. I told him not to scam me and I had been into my branch today. As I am at o/d limit if they do find any money in my account - can I have it back? lol Avoid at all costs is a scam
I keep getting calls from this number, I don't usually answer but when I kept seeing the same number come up curiosity got the better of me, they said they was from lloyds bank about personal banking, they wanted my D.O.B and I said I wasn't going to give them this, (bloke sounded dodgy) I complained to lloyds bank on twitter and they said it was a genuine call from the collections team! I told them so why when I put this number in Google search hundreds of people have complained about them pestering all the time and they are not always from lloyds bank!? Awaiting an answer from them now
Receiving repeated calls from this number 0808 145 0360 Please stop. Thank you
