I've just had a similar interaction, got a random text, no introduction, just "Are you available?". When I asked who it was I got a reply claiming to be from the same person. I'm assuming it's some sort of scam.

Someone claiming to be Briana Bailey from Step Ahead UK texted. Bad grammar one line text "Are you at working?". When I asked who it was she introduced herself as above and said it was about an online job offer. I asked where she go my number from and she said the US contact database. I have no connection with the US and if she is a legit recruiter that opening line is a very odd and unprofessional way to start a conversation. I said she could send me the job details. I am still waiting for her reply....
