Called me offering 20% off my 02 phone bill. I always ask them to confirm my surname first which she could not do. So told her I am not interested and asked for my number to be removed from database. She repeatedly called me back 16 times one after the other. On one of the calls she became aggressive and threatened to cut my phone off unless I confirmed the verification code. Told her again I am not interested, hung up and blocked the number. I then contacted 02 directly, no notes on the account and confirmed that the phone number they are calling from is not one of theirs
calling claiming to be from O2. they will not stop phoning me after I have told them I am not with O2 and to stop calling.
Pretended to be 02, I am not with 02. Hung up and blocked
Received a cold call from 0330 390 4123 claiming to be from O2 and sending me a one-time password to my phone (which they know, since they just called it), asking me to tell them what it was. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE CODE! THIS IS A SCAM! What they are trying to do is use the "Forgotten password" feature on the O2 web site, which sends you an OTP to your phone, which, if you give it to them enables them to change your password and then your billing address and buy stuff on your account (e.g. a nice new iPhone) and have it sent to them at your expense. DO NOT engage with any such calls, and NEVER give an OTP or security questions answer over the phone!
They called me advising they don’t need any personal information and they are calling on behalf of 02. They pushed me a security code that actually looks like it came from 02 and was asking me to provide them this over the phone, make sure you don’t provide them with this and report them
Said they were from O2 but didn’t know my name so blocked.
