I was called in the evening by someone claiming he was from my credit card’s fraud investigation team saying they had identified some unusual transactions and wished to check if they were genuine or not. As I knew a real fraudulent transaction had been flagged by the credit card’s systems and my card blocked a couple of days previously, I immediately realised this call must be from a scammer. I made an excuse, asked if I could ring them back in a couple of minutes and checked what number I should use. When I later checked with genuine credit card fraud team if one of them had called me, they replied no further frauds had been attempted.

Was called and told they worked for First Direct Fraud Team - made my excuses and hung up

Claiming to be from Santander fraud team. Knew pretty much everything about my account including recent transactions, my card number, address etc. Tried to get my pin number and when I called him out he got very nasty, flipped personality completely and called me a few things I cant repeat on here. Avoid like the plague

SCAM-AVOID!! Nearly took £3000 out of my account!!! Asked me to confirm payment on my bank app so they could “cancel” the payment, obviously I rejected the payment as not recognised. He got very angry.
