These scammers submit a fraudulent payment (in my case via ‘hush covelbas’) for £29.75. They KNOW the bank will block them and initiate a fraud warning on your account. They then initiate scam calls on the hour to impersonate the bank, trying to get you to provide them details. DO NOT ANSWER these calls, as their intention is to wipe your account dry once they have the necessary info from you to do so. BLOCK this number instantly from your phone. -you will need to use your Bank App to report the fraud and freeze your card, find the genuine number for the bank and phone them direct, OR go into the closest branch and speak with them directly. The new card will take 3-5 days to arrive, but all standing orders will remain intact. You can go into your local branch and withdraw cash with them (based on having ID) until the card arrives, at which point your account can be unfrozen. You’re welcome.
Multiple fraudulent transactions from my bank. The scammer immediately tried to ring me and left me a voicemail asking them to call them back as they were pretending to be my bank. Do not interact, just contact your bank and freeze your card.
Came up on my phone as Suspected Scam. I still answered. It was an automated voice. They said they were from Halifax about a payment that was just rejected and to press any button to continue. Weird part, 30 mins ago, I did have a rejected payment. I didnt press any button and kept perfectly quiet. after a minute, it made a sound like the call ended. However, the call didnt end. After another minute, the phone call finally ended. Very clever Scammer. STAY CLEAR
This number called to my voicemail. Claiming to be from Lloyds bank, asked me to call them regarding a fraudulent attempt to withdraw from my account. Obviously I did not call. I will report this number to the legitimate Lloyds bank Fraud Team.
Didn't answer but they pretend to be the Bank of Scotland and follow up with a text message with spelling mistakes
Every single day they call me, I don't even answer and blocked the number , they still get through? Why is the number allowed to operate?
