I keep getting phoned from the 020 number I have blocked it and it keeps phoning me fed up
today i got a phone call from this number and i ansered and this indian girl was tryng to get me into this loto thing.
Got called today by them telling me that someone had won an iPad and put my number down as a contact! Obviously I was absolutely thrilled and couldn't believe my luck that someone had given my number instead of their own to win. I was so unbelievably enthusiastic the guy hung up on me. Shame.
Just got a call there now. Didn't answer and won't unless they torture me. Then I will tell them where to go.
Was told I had entered a competition to win an iPad (which I definitely haven't as I remember seeing adds for this but though it was dodgy and therefore didn't enter). The guy then completely forgot anything about the iPad I supposedly had won to tell me that they had drastically increased my chances of winning the lottery by giving me 20 tickets. However, they were not giving them to me I had to sign up to some sort of regular payment of £20 per month. This is clearly a scam! Don't enter into any deal with these people
Relentless lotto scam
glad I seen this was debati g wether it was scam or not as had calls and texts from this same asian lady must be scam suppose if something sounds too good to be true it probably is
i got 7 phone calls from these people yesterday and i am still having them can someone help me im not answering it cause i dont know who it it thanks
Had six calls from 0203 7019257 today and not been answering however just had a call from 0161 2448137 who said I'd entered into a draw to win an ipad or £10,000. I didn't. They had an email address of mine that had been hacked into and closed down around 5 years ago so straight away a red flag went up. The caller said she was from 'LOTTO SOCIAL' and was wanting me to sign up for lottery tickets and give my bank details. I replied saying I'd look into their company before doing anything. Doing this I found this website and found many similarities in my call to what others have had, the Indian lady caller being one of them. When I saw the 0203 number on here I looked through my recent calls and found that very number. I felt I needed to warn others that they are using other numbers too. I think the 0161 number is Manchester is it? Anyway, the more I read into this company the more I say stay away. They knew my name by the way so don't let this draw you in. How do they get this information? Very scary! Just had another call whilst writing this off yet another number 0161 2448150. Three numbers but 7 calls in all so far this afternoon.
Same story. Rude caller insisting that I entered a competition to win an iPad or £10 000. I asked whether they are stupid because the value of an iPad is no where close to £10 000 , and told them I didn't sign up for any silly competitions as such. The caller then speaks about some lottery. I told them I don't play lottery and I am not interested. The caller had the gall to ask why. Apparently, a simple no wouldn't suffice. Repeated a stern No, not interested, and then hung up.
Last week or perhaps two weeks ago was receiving lots of messages from LottoByText, PrizeFun, and FREEMSG. I have never entered any online competitions or anything of the sort, so was quite worried I was being charged for receiving texts from these numbers. I looked them up and found that they charged a lot to receive texts from, and found it was better to message them 'STOP' than to block the numbers as you may still be getting charged after blocking them. I messaged them STOP and received a confirmation message assuring me that I had been 'unsubscribe from any further competitions'. I then received the message that someone else on here mentioned about messaging them 'DROP' if I didn't want a call. I instead messaged STOP as I believed the DROP may have been a scam that subscribes you to more messages. I haven't received any more messages but did later on receive the call. I ignored it and today I received it again, which I again ignored. I am wondering whether I should answer it if I receive it again to see if they have my details and where they got them. Can anyone who received the call and answered it before their last bill confirm whether it costs to receive the message or answer the call?
Social lotto, told them I am in work and they just wouldn't give in until I swore at them. 02037019257 blocked.
Just looked at the number and hung up, theyve tried to call me about 3 times in the last week
scam, lotto. blocked.
Who are these people they asked if my parents were with me and they new my first and last name please tell me what i can do
Same as everybody else. They have phoned me loads of times despite me trying to block them and me telling them to stop calling. Claiming I entered a competition, asking me who I was and whether I was over 16. I refused to answer and asked 'How do I know YOU are who you say you are?" Told them to stop fishing for information. He said 'we are not fishing we have your information'. I told them, yet again, to stop phoning me. Finding some (tho little) comfort that I am not alone by being hounded by these people.
I got a call from this number but there was distortion in the voice and I could not understand the person
Company called 'Lotto social', atleast that's what the automated answer machine said when i rang back (using 141 before my number because i had a feeling that i would get straight through to the operator if i used a number they knew), have been called twice now, both in the afternoon, one at 18:19 and on at 13:31.
They rang and asked was I steven m*****. I asked them who THEY were. He refused to say and demanded to know who he was talking to. I said "YOU rang ME!, you don't get to demand to know who you're talking to, I get to demand to know who I'M talking to. Now FUCK OFF and don't call this number again!". I quite enjoyed that. lol
Called at least 5 times
I got a call from lotto social and this man gave me his company number and the email so I can get the chance to win euromillions, he also told me his name.
Company called Lotto-Social, very arrogant caller - they kept insisting I had entered a competition and won an iPad, when I told them I wasn't interested they became quite rude and put the phone down. Obviously a scam company - plus the background "call centre" noise sounds like a loop - i.e. someone playing it in the background to make it sound like a busy/legit environment. They ring me at least 4/5 times a day sometimes as late as 10/11pm.
I have received called same number today i can't able to answer phone due to my disability deaf but i remember and been thinking where i signed it freebie sites i didn't signed it thee things like every one calling from fake lottery and the freebie where i try to get free stuff and the freebie sell it my personal detailed as the third parties to company next times i with careful about it .
I answered and they asked for (My Name) when I said speaking they went on to say 'I am contacting about a competition that you have entered for an Apple iPad or £10,000 cash' I do not remember entering said competition and why would they offer one or the other... Obviously everyone would go for the 10k an iPad is nowhere near the equivalent l.
I also had calls from Social Lottery which were arrogant and somewhat agressive. The lady today was persistent even though I explained that I had a call yesterday and I was forced to hang up to close the call. Hopefully no innocent person will suffer from these unsociable callers.
i get calls from these all the time and considering im 15 i cant even buy one scam.
Just had 5 calls in past few days, sometimes didn't know they rang, sometimes I rejected the call if used my phone. I had no idea how got my details, but if ring again I'll keep rejecting.
Had this call today the Lady was claiming that i was a part of the Euro-millions they new my name which is odd because i don't have my number linked with any of my social networking sites and my phone contract is in my mums name. i had 5 calls in total i then had my friend call the number off his phone (while putting 141 at the beginning of the call to hide his phone number) when he rang the number a voice over said ''you are now though to Lesotho'' then the phone rang and he hung up . If anyone has any idea of how the company got hold of my name i would be very grateful if you could help me.
Keep calling me and giving aggressive messages after I told the woman on the phone I wanted to be removed from the caller list. Very rude, I'm only 16 and I have no idea how they have got my number
Receiving lots of aggressive call from this number about Lotto entry. Horrible, wish they would stop.
Annoying calls all times day and night
I got a missed call off this phone and rather than answering I searched the number istead. I hate scammers. Arseholes!
SCAMMERS don't talk with them.
this number called me when i was at school in my maths lesson as i am only 14 years old and i couldn't answer at that time and then i got a call at a later time during my break i then answered and it was a young indian woman asking for me i then said who are you looking for they then repeated my name then i thought i was being prank called so i took the mick out of the callers voice and said anyone can make a funny voice and prank call me and then they said something but i wasn't sure what they said then they hung up and when i ring them back it doesn't ring so i am scared that they know who i am as my phones contract is in my dads name so when people call me they ask for my dad but these people knew my name and asked for me!
Someone contacted me from this number two times during the last week, I didn't understand why they call me, because there was a lot of background noise and the lady who called me speaking very fast (but for sure she know my name) I tried to say her "I'm Italian, I don't understand very well, the reason you call me", but she didn't listen me and she was a little bit annoyed because I didn't understand. Then I closed the calls saying to her "I'm not interested".
020 3701 9257 called me 5-7 times a day for the last couple of days claiming they can help me make millions on the lottery, they wouldn't take no for an answer and I found out they had my details such as phone no email address and full name which was abit scary. They then asked for bank details and continued to phone me after I hung up, don't give them any details especially bank details!! I've now blocked their number on my phone as it is starting to get to the stage of harassment. I think their company is called social lotto
That rude lady just called me again. Their company is called Lotto Social. I have also placed a complaint with the information commissioner's office.
Kept getting these calls so finally answered, very rude Indian sounding lady. I told her that I don't gamble and she kept saying; "But you used to gamble?"
They got my number from Facebook even though my profile is private to all but friends. Reason how I know this is because I use my nickname and fathers surname to keep my identiy hidden. Only my friends and people who have meet me know my real name. Is there some way to get them to stop calling me?
This number keeps calling even though I have said I am a young girl age 16.
This Man guy called Brad who I thought was called bread, has called me several times over the last few days both whilst in school and out. He was trying to tell me about the Euromillions however I just hung up, since then he has been constantly been ringing me!! Will I get charged for answering the phone seeing as it's not a British number?🙏
This number rang me this morning but I missed the call due to being busy. They have just rang again now and I answered it (I thought it must be important as spam callers don;t usually phone back) but the line was just dead and all I heard was beeping.
Received text saying that Social Lottery would call me if I did not text back DROP, ignored text, got call that evening. Asked caller to "just hold on a minute," my usual ploy when dealing with cold callers, put them on speakerphone, then just go about my business until they get bored and hang up. Woman on phone shouted that she hoped I was aware I was wasting my own airtime keeping them on phone, then hung up. Another two calls from same company last night when phone switched off, more calls today, at 10:48, 12:02. 12:56, 13:57, 14:56, all rejected by me, do they not get the message? Definitely one for Ofcom I think.
I witnessed my telling the man on the phone that she DID NOT want the Euro millions Syndicate he then went on to convince her with his sales chat I then took the phone and said he was harassing Meryl Kara and she didn't want any part of it and if he continues it would become a legal matter. He then said ,"You're not Meryl Kara". I then put the phone down. This kind of harassment needs to stop.
Persistent calls re lottery.
I was listening what the Indian guy had to say, admit that I got sucked in by it. I was travelling so asked them to email me details and he sed no and thank you very much and hung up rapidly. Total scam! Do not give them any details!!
had two missed calls and a text alert from this number this afternoon. Apparently a company named Lotto Social - and guess what, they can help you win the EuroMillions jackpot!!!! Insisted I'd been on their website a few months ago and apparently left all my details including my mobile number (as if), or "If you didn't, then someone gave us the details on your behalf". Surly and aggressive female calling herself Sheryl stopped short of calling me a liar, before I called her one and ended the call. Number now blocked. Although it resembles a UK number, you're actually through to a call centre in India.
I'm really worried, this scam number rang my friend asking for ME? How do they link his number To mine ?
Got a call from this number and tried to call it back but only got a continuouis repeating message. Don't know who they are . Unable to catch their name but it was "something social"
9 calls in total. 7 missed, two answered and both times I asked to be removed for calling list. the last caller was quite stroppy with me and tried to challenge me on the number of calls I "apparently" received. When I told her she had no right to call me, let alone challenge a perfectly eligble "no thanks" from me she got quite aggressive. South African accent.
Odd sounding Indian(?) lady called my mobile. Claimed I had 'expressed interest in Euromillions' but I told her no. She wanted to carry the call on, but I got it to end without too much of a fuss.
I got a call from this number saying " Hello is this bob noodles ". I just said no since it was the name I use when filling surveys.
Keep ring my mobile, social lotto! I've blocked the number as it's prob a huge scam
Rude and extremely aggressive Indian woman calling herself Chantelle or Chanelle, rings every night at around the same time for the past month. Most days now I ignore the call because no matter how much I tell her to stop phoning me, to delete me off their list or threaten them with contacting OFCOM etc, she persists and is always aggressive. Refuses to tell me company name, address or anything useful to stop it happening. As she clearly is never going to get a sale for her lottery tickets out of me, I can only conclude that her company enjoys irritating, bullying and upsetting people for the sheer hell of it.
they text you a few days before then phone you asking to join euro millions lottery
Same as previous comments, only 02037019257 called my mobile and my partners mobile, several times a day for the last few days. On answering one call, got a recorded message about lottery, before I hung up. Have now registered our mobiles with Telephone Preference Service, as this worked wonders with scam/unwanted calls to our landline. Maybe worth trying.
Same as Helen, 02037019257 rung, I answered, it turns out it was as said a syndicate. Some Indian lady trying to get me involved in their Euromillions syndicate. As Anna said pretty sure it's social lotto. I hung up and blocked them on my phone.
Social Lotto? Check by phoning number after hours as recorded message gives name
Apparently they are a lottery syndicate, when I told them I wasn't interested the young girl on the phone was aggressive and brash, she called a manager over and complained about the fact I didn't want to speak to them without covering the receiver - I heard everything! When I threaten to report them to Ofcom the Manager was incredibly polite and wished me a good evening however would not give me the company name again! Scammers.
