Scammers, but spoofing what appears to be a genuine police number

Pretending to be police, fishing to see if I was a good target.

They said they were from West Yorkshire police on behalf of the Metropolitan police and that my identity had been found on a suspect. He was trying to get me to say yes, but I know this is a common aim, so I told him where to go and hung up!

the caller told me that he is from west midland police and he told me that i am involving in crypto currency fraud . but i don't have any crypto account and he hang up i think its fraud call

Claimed to be a Police Detective, asked if i knew what crypto was, I said no and he immediately hung up.

They pretended to be from police, but when I asked for a number to call them back on they said check the number you see in the phone. I said those can be spoofed and he hung up.
