Saying that their from sky giving you a discount somehow sends you a real email that looks like its from sky and then transfers u over to a manager saying “your owed compensation” and they will give you a free iphone THIS IS A LIE they take it out under your name ruining your credit FULL SCAM
Asian lady phoning from microsoft. when i said i wasn't the person she thought lived at this address she said I had earlier talked to her collegue . I pointed out she was appearing to phone from a differant part of the uk and she was 'not genuine'. She started to get annoyed and i cancelled the call.
They claimed to be from BT but clearly weren't. When I pretended to not understand what they were trying to get me to do the caller became aggressive. Definitely not BT customer service!!
Apparently from Microsoft..I said Microsoft will never contact anymore as read that on Google. I told her it was a scam and maybe she didn't know (sarcastically) I just hung up afterwards
Asian person rang yesterday morning claiming to be from Virgin Media and saying our internet was being accessed by other people and she would talk me through what to do to get rid of the problem. I have to admit I was initially taken in although also worrying it could be a scam. I did co-operate to start with but when she passed me over to a more senior person who said I was entitled to a £204 refund and an upgraded router I became suspicious. He then wanted me to open my bank account on line to check the money had been paid in. I knew then I had been fooled and when I said I wouldn’t open my bank account on line he threatened to cut off the internet, which I said he couldn’t do. My husband took over and told him it was a scam and then of course he hung up. We contacted our IT support expert who confirmed that of course it was a scam and I felt mad to think I was nearly taken in. Our IT support guy ran a few checks on our computer to ensure they hadn’t accessed it remotely and all was fine thankfully. I certainly will not be taken in again by such calls. There have also been two more calls to our landline from 01264319902, which I am sure are the same people and that’s despite the fact our number is ex directory. It’s amazing how convincing they can be so beware everyone. I dread to think what would have happened if I had opened my bank account when talking to them😫😤.
9/11/22 Called at 14.12pm left no message but this number has called in the past and has said they are from BT although we are not with BT
i have just had the same call and I was caller a m f as well. Is there anywhere we can report abusive phone call through bt
A woman with an Asian accent called me, saying she was from Microsoft and it concerned my computer. I said that I didn't want to take this call and put the phone down. Normally I don't even answer, as I've found that most of these scam calls have an upward bleep noise before anyone speaks, so you know what you are dealing with. No bona fide calls have this sound.
said in a very asian accent that they were BT INTERNET TECHNICAL DEPT.I told them i worked for BT AND HAD NEVER HEARD OF THEM..They hung up fast!!
Caller didn’t identify themselves to request from Call Guardian so the phone didn’t ring. Honest callers just have to give a name.
Indian Call Center Scammer, claimed that external IPs were accessing my network and wanted me to give them my 2FA Log-in Pin for BT. Started speaking Hindi to one of his mates at the center, questioned him about it and started getting annoyed.
Said she was bt & my Internet connection was public not private wanted me to put my computer on to verify. Told her if she was genuine to send me an email from bt. Obviously phishing as kept calling me mamm & had american accent
Call this morning at about 8.15 purporting to be from BT internet
Asian called claimed to be from BT and then gave a false contact number when I asked. when identified as a scam the Pratt call gave endless obscenities which are not worthy to be repeated.
