Been calling me a couple times a month for a few months now from this number and one other. The one time I did answer they said that they are EDF and need to send someone to look at my smart meter. I went along with it and said "ok" then he said there were no available appointments in the next few weeks. I said "ok bye". Very very odd!
Phoned me 4 times in the last 24hrs. Left a voicemail each time with no noticeable words, just loud call centre chat.
Told them to go fuck themselves. Keep ringing all the time asking for meter readings. Don’t trust these people
Had voicemail that consisted of unintelligible background chatter. Probably a call centre. No actual message was left though.
EDF (unverified) wanting to get gas meter reading. They started to ask if I can verify my address etc... I refused. When asked why I can't provide it online reply was that system is not working. I told them to call me back in one hour, that I'll get my gas meter reading ready. In the meantime I provided my reading online, all worked fine. In one hour they called back and get angry that I provided reading online event though they told me it is not working. When I replied that it is working from my point of view they hang up. It felt like a scam.

Called saying they were EDF wanting a meter reading. asked them for which property and they relayed address. Had not done any security checks with me to check I was appropriate person or account holder. I Said I couldn’t provide a current reading as I was currently 200+ miles away from property. She asked when I was playing to go there next so I could check my meter box (lol!) said to call me another time.
Said they were from EDF - at 19:10? Wanted meter reading - told caller I didn’t believe him put phone down,
