Callers suggesting they are calling from 118 are callers selling your data, wake up to these people, they are not from 118118 they are abusing the 118 seggestion of an official company just to add your details to call lists and spam lists for marketing companies

This was 118 directory services checking that my free business details were correct. Which they were. They didn't try to sell me anything.

Came through as a missed call on my work phone, so called it back. Says 118 information. Hung up.

Phoned our offices and stated that they were HMRC and commenced asking a number of questions to one of our staff members

Range me 3 times, thing up after a few seconds. I treated the call as a scam even though I didn't answer it, I've developed a 6th sense for scam calls!!!
