I received a call from 01822 300015. At the same time a message appeared on my phone to say this was a reported scam. Take care.

A heavily accented man called - difficult to understand, probably Indian accent - saying he would give me a discount for O2. Got aggressive when I said O2 could just email me. Said he didn’t want details but would transfer me at which point I ended the call.

Quite likely a scam. They said they could give me a "discount code" for EE phone credit. My phone provider isn't even EE. Despite this, I played along for a short time. I was transferred to a "manager", who asked me if they could text me a six digit code. I would be required to read back this six digit code in order to "redeem the discount". I said "this sounds like a scam" and they insisted it wasn't, because they were not asking for any personal identifiable information. I hung up after this. An account recovery option for various websites involve texting a six digit code which is used to gain access to the account. Do not fall for this scam!

Just received a call to my mobile. As I was driving, I didn’t answer it. No voice message was left, so after research, decided it was probably a scam. Be careful of these supposed UK landline calls.

Got a call from this number and a call from 018223000016. I could hear an Indian man talking in his home tongue. If it looks like a scam and smells like a scam then it probably is is a scam. I don't think he was telling me I had a tax rebate!
