Called me 3 times yesterday and again this morning. I did not answer, no message left so now blocking number.
Scam, Abigail claiming to be from Vodaphone with a perfect English accent - confirmed if I am the account holder and then that the call is recorded and it’s to check everything is ok with the account … said yes …. She then asked if everything is ok with iPads, tablets, laptops or if I had any … I stated that she should know that if I had any as it would be on my account … stated she couldn’t share any details as I had not passed security… why ask questions then if I have not passed security? …. She didn’t even know my name, I stated it was a scam and to not call me again, it’s clearly to get you to give up your personal information & possibly trick you into buying a “Ipad/tablet/laptop” deal … don’t give up any info!!
Rec'd call this morning - 21 July 2023, from 01709 242655 stating that they was from Vodafone and wished to discuss their products with myself. Whilst I may be with Vodafone, I was surprised to receive a cold call and asked them to phone back later. Having read the above comments, I have blocked this number
I have noticed a miss call this morning (16 Jun 2023) on a new business number (as yet unused) this number has not been given out on any platform as yet, I have no idea as to how whoever it is trying to call even know about this number. Do spammers have access via phone providers of newly generated numbers? I have no intention of ringing them back to find out why they called.
Caller pretended to be from Vodafone. When I told her that I could not verify she's from Vodafone, she got a bit more aggressive and when I asked her to send me the info she wanted to share with me, she hung up....
Vodafone said this today: Thank you for getting in touch with us about your recent experience. I'm very sorry this led to your complaint on 24 November 2022. Just to recap, when we spoke reached us earlier, you explained that you asked us here at Vodafone to opt you put from all marketing calls to stop bothering you with such marketing calls, but later on you reported that you are still getting marketing calls from the number 01709242655. As discussed, I looked into this and found that the number 01709242655 is not a Vodafone number but rather is a landline number located in Rotherham (UK), and that this number is being operated by "AQL Wholesale Ltd" who are not from Vodafone and they don't represent Vodafone in any way. We herby deny any relation between us and this company called "AQL Wholesale Ltd" Further, kindly note that I will close the complaint now that we have addressed your concerns from our side here at Vodafone. If you have any further questions, you can call us on 191 free from a Vodafone mobile. We're available Monday to Sunday from 8am to 8pm. Thank you again, and I'm happy we've been able to resolve your complaint. Yours sincerely, ****** Resolution Manager Vodafone Limited
Spam blocker stopped the call and listed as suspected. They left a voicemail which was just silence when I listened to it.
Had several calls from this number and know it is a scam so do not answer and have blocked number
got called, my phone rejected it as spam. Correctly by the sound of all the comments on here.
Called vodaphone to check the number. It is legitimate they’re not scammers, just vodaphone call centre doing their job.
Vodafone apparantly, asking about mobile, landline and broadband. talked about broadband and they done a speed test, 10 mins later i get an email from existing provider saying its been cancelled as as their customer is moving to my house. Err, no, I'm not moving and I'm not switching, never even agreed to anything.
I answered this call and there was silence. My call log shows they have called twice before so I have now blocked that number.
several calls from this number, but the caller never speaks
Genuine Vodafone workers trying to make a living and can prove they are Vodafone by sending an SMS to you during the call, obviously they cannot provide you any personal information until you’ve passed Data protection! I spoke to them and I got myself a nice new phone and sim deal and it checks because it was shown on my account! Stop being so reluctant to answer genuine sales calls as they are there to save you money
They are persistent and call several times a day but never leave a message. Now blocked!
