Called persistently - I answered 4 times - twice silent and twice spoke to someone who claimed to be solicitors working with Walker Consultancy and that they’d been “passed a file” about “fraudulent” companies and they wanted to talk to us about our timeshare membership. With the first caller (female) I said I had serious questions about the legality of them receiving our data and she hung up immediately. The second caller (male) was more insistent. He didn’t mention timeshare but wanted me to confirm our full names which I refused to do, asking what info they had for us and saying that this info was not being held with our permission under GDPR. He got shirty and raised his voice so I hung up. From the rest of the comments, these people really aren’t to be trusted
Told me she was frm Crawford Consultancy and had been passed my file from Windham who now own CLC and whre chasing debts for unpaid maintenannce. Then said her job was to stop it escalating and they legal team could help me with this. Whewn I said that was a conflict of interested she got confused. I told her if she represented Windham how could het legal team then represent me against Windham who had passed her my file. Just a scam to get you to use their team for timeshare issues. Even told her I had legal representation and she said they would be dodgy.
Told her to stop keep calling, fed up these people, she said she couldn’t speak for other companies! I said it’s your so called company that keeps calling!!! She then said would you mind telling me why?!! At that point I hung up.
Said they were from a Risk Consultancy. When I asked what I was at risk from, they ended the call.
Unsolicited call, usual format, well spoken, polite, know your name and then they try fishing for information re a timeshare. It happens every week, always from a different number. Just wish they’d find more useful employment and stop wasting everyone’s time!
I received a call telling me that i have been scammed by another company and i am not out of my times share, following this I received another call from a Manchester Number 01619340266, trying to arrange a meeting so they can help me to get out of my timeshare and claim money back.
Its a timeshare scam. The caller tells you have outstanding maintenance to pay, you have 30 days to pay this or a Debt collecting agency will get involved. Don't fall for this and part with any money.
Very important sounding individual claiming to be a Solicitor. I asked him to confirm his telephone number. He rang off, clearly a scammer.
