For my part, this was a legit call as it turned out. Was called twice but didn’t answer, then routinely blocked as I do most of these numbers. However, then received email saying that ceta insurance had been unable to collect an insurance renewal for my beach hut due to card expiry. Good job they did otherwise I would have not been covered!
This number has dialled me 3 times today but clicked the call off after two rings. It is apparently Cita insurance who I have recently agreed a policy. I hope they are more efficient than they have started out because I have had initial problems with them which are hopefully now sorted.
Scenario, I started a quote on moneysupermarket for home insurance but didn't complete it to the quote stage. A hour later this guy is ringing me from Chipping Norton telling me he's from Moneysupermarket, then Ceta insurance. Wtf.
Said to be from "Compare the money supermarket"... had started a quote with Money Supermarket. Seems that MoneySupermarket may have a data issue.
The Moneysupermarket link makes sense. I had started a quote process on moneysupermarket for some insurance the day before.
Hung up when I said I wanted to continue with the quotation via money supermarket rather than over the phone, obviously a scam!
Claimed to be from money supermarket initially but then from cita insurance, realised afterwards we had filled in details on another website that was pretending to be money supermarket
