I don’t pick up scam calls, but I believe it’s safe to say this caller is NOT nationwide. It’s creepy how they get the bank name and your name right though. Always search up what service numbers your bank provides and ring them to verify scams.

Whats wrong with them? Suspected scam call

Definatley a scam. They did a test tranaction on my card the tried to ring me saying they were from Nationwide. I caled the proper Nationwide fraud line to check and block the activity.

Called me today claiming they were nationwide and had noticed some fraudulent activity within my account. Will call my bank and notify them.

Claiming to be Nationwide, asking for my wife re suspicious activity. I do not know whether legit or not.

2 calls from this number today. Automated voice saying fraudulent activity on my sons nationwide bank account. It's a scam.

Called 3 times in the last week on the landline because of unusual activity on my card. From Nationwide and used my name. Wanted me to respond by pressing a number on my phone, there and then. I called my bank on the number on my card and they had not phoned me and there was no unusual activity on my card. Beware! Always check through another number. They sound very convincing.

This is a curious one: the robo-call purported to be from my bank, about unusual activity on my card. The call correctly named both me and my bank, but something didn't seem right about it, so I hung up and called the fraud via the 0800 number published on the bank's own website. They DID NOT recognise this number, and insisted they would only ever call me via the 0800 number. Plus, they would tend to call my mobile, not my landline, as this robo-caller did. HOWEVER, there was a queried payment on my card, to a company in the US (which I'm fairly sure I'd cancelled a couple of months ago), which HAD put a stop on my card. They cancelled the payment, put a flag on it for future attempts and un-stopped my card... So there WAS an issue they HADN'T informed me about via their usual channels?
