It's Ppi cold calling. They say the company name so quick I couldn't get it
Just had a call from this number. Strange accent. Said they were from the bbc!?!
Just had a call from the quietly spoken Asian guy , about PPI , He wears alot of hats!
I've had a few of these recently, mostly on my answerphone (no message left). The one I answered was a Asian woman, who asked for me by name (even though I'm ex-directory) So, a fat lot of use that is! As with others reporting here she said she was calling about a problem with my computer. I told her that I am an IT professional, I do not use Windows and I had logged her number - instant quietness at the other end! I tried to call the number back and got BT's 'number not recognised' message. So, whoever it is, is not only trying a scam, but also they falsify their CLID. As with all nuisance calls, I dialled 1477 - which all telecom providers have to provide to report malicious calls (this only works if you dial this within 20 minutes of receiving the call and have not received another in the meantime). Not sure if 1477 actually does anything useful, but if my telecom provider doesn't do anything about it, their register will fill up fairly rapidly.....
I received a call from this number. A quietly spoken asian sounding man said apparently I'd called them previously asking them to call me back?!! I told him I wasn't interested and to take us off their mailing list. He kept saying he wanted to ask me a few questions so I said it was inconvenient as I had my noisy baby grandchild here and couldn't hear him very well, to which he asked 'Are you deaf madam!' He kept persisting so I told him how rude he is and that he needs training on customer service skills. He then said, I was being rude and not co-operating with him by wasting HIS time!! I could not believe his attitude when he then went on to say I need to go back to school with my grandchild to learn how to speak to him!! I was astonished to say the least so immediately cut him off and pressed 1471 to retrieve the number and hopefully report him.
Got a call from this number today from asian sounding man, he asked for my wife using only her initials, when I asked who was calling the line went dead.
Received a call from an Asian speaking man, couldn't catch the name of firm, but he said he was calling about a problem with my computer. I said what computer? He said are you the main user of the computer? to which I answered what computer I have got one? - the phone went dead. Obviously a scam to sell rogue software or to gain access to my machine

They rang my landline at 00.29 and woke me up but I didn’t answer
They talked about housing repairs………I own my own house so it’s 100% a scam
They called pretending to be my bank. I called my bank directly and there is no issue with my account. This is a scam.
Had a horrible voicemail left from this number
