Female caller claimed to be calling on behalf of Boots Opticians and knew my husband had an appointment coming up. Wanted to speak to him personally but he didn't want to speak to her as we were just going out. I also have an appointment at the same time but she had no details on me. Got rid of her eventually and rang the Boots Opticians number to check - they reckoned it might be from 'head office' although why would it appear to be a local number if so. Woman had a heavy accent so difficult to understand and I got her to repeat herself several times. Said she might call again (to speak to my husband) but now we know the number we won't be answering the phone!
