This number rang a few minutes ago - we did not answer. No message was left - apparently a bank scam call.

Anwsered Male voice said goodbye Clearly a scam

Called 4 or 5 times yesterday 22/01/25) Picked up once as local number. Initially quiet, then click, a very. brief bit of musak and I hung up. The click is the cue to hang up. Called once so far today just after 10 GMT.

Male voice said "goodbye" and call ended. After reading previous comments I wondered if this was a check to see if my number was answered?

As the other commenter has said, I answered and heard a recorded "goodbye". The call then ended.

I answered phone but did not get an answer. So I am going to block this number

As soon as I picked up the phone I received the message "goodbye" and the line went dead. I can only assume it was from a cold call centre trying to persuade me to part with money for the latest "good thing"
