Pretending to be 02

Called on mobile. Hung up when I answered.

Had a call saying my BT service is out I said no not BT then this woman said Talk Talk I said no & she hung up. Asian sounding indian or Pakistani. Obviously looking to scam.

Came through on my mobile. As I didn't recognise the number I didn't answer. They rang off without leaving a message. From the comments here it is obviously a scam.

Claim to be from O2 "promotions team". Offer you 20% off your bills. They just need to know how much you pay every month to make sure you are eligible for this amazing deal. This is one of the O2 security questions. I asked how they did not know my name, bill amount etc she just got really defensive. Told her I knew she wasn't O2 and warned her not to call again. Reported to O2.

Didn't answer

I've received 2 calls from this number claiming to be from O2 offering to save me money on my phone bill if I can give them details. they will ask you for a security code to confirm. DO NOT PROVIDE THIS TO THEM, IT COULD ALLOW THEM TO ACCESS YOUR ACTUAL 02 ACCOUNT. O2 does use 2 factor authentication and these scammers could get far enough in their attempts to access your account that O2 do send you a genuine security code via text. If you tell anyone a genuine O2 security code then they can more easily access your account. I've reported this number to O2 as a scam in their name.

Claiming to be from 02 asked how much I paid a month I said you should know that if your really 02 and they hung up AVOID

Didn't pick up. Identified by my phone as a possible scam call.

01285 311017 called. When I answered they hung up. Cirencester area came up.

Got call from the above number, when i answered call nobody spoke.

Claimed to be from an energy company offering 40% off energy bills, didn't like it when I told them I don't deal with energy bills as I'm not a home owner
