This was my experience with this number also.

Bt do own alot of fibre optics for Internet and telephone however other companies use the service and I would imagine that it would be the company that you are with that would issue with there customers that there was a problem. This would be done via there website

Being a retired hypnotist I had the skill to force the man on the phone to start talking the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. He then admitted that he was a professional thief and that his aim was to empty all my bank accounts and take ownership of my home. I therefore declined his demands and told him to take a holiday somewhere where the sun doesn't shine. He asked if I had any brochures relating to such places, forcing me to tell him to 'go away' - using an internationally known two-letter phrase.

Called today and immediately hung up when I answered. I've had a spate of these recently.

They do not have "your number" They just keep trying all (potentially) valid numbers in sequence until one actually connects.

Looked at my phone and saw I had a missed call. As I had a dominos being delivered I thought it might be from them, but glad I checked on here first!

Identity theft isn't a menial crime its serious, I had driving fines court letters and for things I've never done in my life.

Texted me today telling me someone attempted a huge money transfer using Revolut, and to call them if it wasn't me. I don't even use revolut.

Ny phone detected it as possible scam. Let it ring but never answered then came a voicemail message 'we have no agent available at the moment but if you need any help please call back' or something like that. Yeah right lol
