Called saying they were from EE and my SIM card would be blocked on 3 to 4 days and I would get a new one tomorrow. Said they were texting me a security code to activate the new SIM I told them I wanted to check this independently as I was suspicious and wasn't going to give them any information. He was persistent and said that EE was having technical issues so they were phoning instead of writing. I said I didn't believe him and he hung up. I got a text message from EE with a one time code to sign up for two factor authentication.
Claiming to be from O2, saying they had to send me a new SIM card due to O2 and Virgin Media merging. Knew my mobile number. Wanted to put me through to their despatch department. I hung up.
Claimed to be from O2 offering 40% discount and apologising for the poor service in my area - no issues with service
Claimed to be from O2, in their words ‘your mobile network provider’. However I’m not with O2 so challenged them. From there, they claimed they didn’t know who I was with, that I was calling them, not them calling me. Called me a m*ther f*cker before disconnecting.

Claimed to be from EE. I didn't speak. Cut him off after 2 seconds

Pretending to be from EE and my SIM card is going to be blocked in 3 to 4 days and would need a new SIM card. I let them talk for a few minutes without giving them any of my details as the only details they had was my mobile number. Called him a F##king scammer which he refuted when I said but you know you are a f##king scammer he hung up.
Put the phone down - didn't sound Scottish cheeky...
