0121 599 0117 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Commenting after reading all other reports. Came up on phone as "Birmingham". Man said he was from Currys, knew my name and that I'd ordered a new controller from Currys, said I will receive email telling me my hour timeslot for delivery soon, to which I replied I had received my parcel. He then asked me to purchase Currys care package, I told him that I already had a care repair package and he said ok have a good day and hung up. I could hear so many people in the background and I contacted Currys website chat who stated " I assure you that this is not the currys contact details and suggest you to be aware of the fraud calls. " So I have no idea if this is 3rd party, safe or unsafe. Either way I have blocked this and will be contacting Currys again to find out what data of mine is being passed on and to whom.

Leave negative feedback or complain regarding this, Curry's is not acting in the best interest of its customers!

Same as others - ordered from curry’s website, and now getting calls. Couldn’t answer as I have been at work, but have in that time had two missed calls and no voicemails left. Blocked for now as it’s annoying, delivery of items not scheduled for another week or so and I don’t want multiple calls a day until then!

It seems to be Curry’s hard sell from previous comments and so I have blocked the number. I have ordered an item from Curry’s that has still to be delivered and so they have my details. for delivery purposes only.

hi , i have just had the same , made an online order last night from currys and now getting this number calling me , i have just been on webchat with currys and asked how my number is being called from this number , they said ignore them and sorry - so i sent them the link to this page , so now i have demanded that they explain to me how my details have been leaked. so now i am waiting for currys to email me with an explanation

I made a purchase from Curry’s online last night at midnight, received a call from this number at 10 am today. Luckily I don’t answer unknown numbers and search here immediately! According to previous comments I am glad I did.

Never answered the call despite them calling 3 times a day for past two days. I don't answer my phone at work and certainly aren't ringing them back. We have just purchased something from Curry's so it's presumably them trying to sell extended warranty. Thing is my number is only the contact for delivery, I never bought the item so there's no point phoning me anyway 🤣

Didn't answer this unknown number but I bought an item from Curry's yesterday & from other comments I assume it was related to this. Puts me off buying online from Curry's again.

Im not answering in the strange calls unless they left me a message or voicemail to call back.. checked first this number on the google ..and it’s same story… i placed order yesterday .. and now receiving the calls..

Placed an order in the Store in Telford and next day this phonecall. We should receive an email, not a phonecall the salesperson told us.

I didn't answer the call as the number was not known to me but funnily enough I've just received a delivery from Currys. I have now blocked the number.

Placed an order with currys yesterday, received a call from this number today 0121 599 0117. Currys must have sold the information to a third party.

While I didn’t answer this the other respondents say the person (if you do answer) says they are from Curry’s. This could be dangerous if you have recently placed an order with Curry’s (as I have). They have no reason to call me and I wonder how the caller got my mobile? Do Curry’s have a security issue?
