01206 806340 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Female who knew my name saying she was from Warranty Box regarding insurance on my kitchen appliances , I declined and hung up.

Scam call about washing machine insurance, beware!!!! I hung up.

Won't remove me from their call list.

Called on 13/9/22 at 1.20pm but no one came on the line when I answered. These Domestic & General fake warranty scammers have called me many times before and I usually given them a piece of my mind about trying to scam the elderly and vulnerable. So although their random dialler is still calling me it looks like they have notes on their system about me that causes the person about to try and scam me to hang up without bothering. I used to report these things to the Information Commissioners Office but lately seem to have realised it is pointless to do so........

They put the phone down as soon as I answered. My name is different to the phone book name.

I was called by this number on 2/9/22 about a warranty on my washing machine which I don't have and don't want and told them this. Again the same number called on 3/9, 4/9, 5/9, 6/9 all claiming to be D&G. Then today 12/9 they have called twice but I'm fed up answering this call as they don't pay any attention to what you say.

Had 3 Calls from this number saying they are from Domestic & General and their latest call said they were calling from Homeplan. Definitely a scam!

I have just had call from this number, answered and they hung up. After reading these comments I shall block.

They call my Mother, aged 92, 2 or 3 times a day supposedly about a washing machine warranty. She's told them not to call, but they persist. This is harassment.

They called saying they were domestic and general about my wash machine maintenance. I knew it wasn't domestic and general.

Called this afternoon. Total silence when I answered the call. I assume that ALL cold calls of this nature are part of an attempted SCAM.

Said the insurance on my washing machine had run out and they could offer me a special offer on insurance for all the items in my kitchen said not really interested and don't know why but they hung up on me

Calls received from this number on regular basis. Say they are calling on behalf of Domestic & General and that washing machine warranty has expired. When I say the call is harassment they put phone down.

Keep getting calls from this number. Usually a woman with an oriental accent. Unfortunately I finally lost my rag and swore at her and hung up. Was called back from same number by a man with an Indian accent, who bombarded me with an onslaught of foul language and threats. Apparently he is coming to get me. Hope he brings my insurance policy with him.

To add...i know it is NOT D&G/Aviva...before anyone tries telling me its the scammers ;)

Reading the comments i see when they actually speak it’s either D&G or Aviva. D&G tried to con me last year. They said they had money to return to us from an overpaid insurance, and wanted the account number and sort code. When i said “how do i know you aren’t a scammer?”, (knowing she was), she shouted “do you want this money or not?” The past 3 months this number has called 3-5 times a day, and they do not speak. They just hang up. We have now resorted to ignoring it, not picking up. Then i check the number afterwards. They ring for ages at a time, and we need the landline for my elderly disabled mother. They are really annoying us now, and apart from changing the number (that we have had for 30 years), there is nothing we can do! There should be!!

white goods warranty extension put the phone on mute and left on table ties their line up so they cannot use it.

Domestic and General kitchen appliance warranty/insurance scam.

An entry by a D&G customer says "It’s rather worrying that she knew my details without being told. Are Domestic &General leaking customer details?" Don't worry, they are calling at random; they do have your name and phone number (easy enough), but don't know that you have a D&G warranty. They call me all the time, and I have never dealt with D&G. They are thieves.

Hang-up, no message. Scammers of some type obviously.

claiming to be Aviva - stupidly gave my postcode as i was caught off guard and i do have an Aviva policy and they had my old address, put phone down when they asked for my details and when i questioned that they are calling me they said will call again tomorrow - colchester number now blocked

They just called me and said they were a debt management company working on behalf of the government

They claimed to be from Aviva, clearly an Indian call centre scammer. When challenged for verification they wrre calling from Aviva they got frustrated and gave up. They wanted to know my insurance premium and policy number which I didn't give, but after getting frustrated they hung up. It's some sort of scam, block them.

Absolute pest. I don’t answer the calls

Conned my elderly grandmother into giving them her bank card details by telling her they were an insurance company and needed the details to keep them safe for her! Thankfully her niece overheard the call and alerted the bank - they tried to take over £700 out of her account in two transactions but the bank stopped them.

Woman with South African accent called from the "Washing Machine Warranty Department"

Have repeated calls (sometimes 2 or 3 times a day) claiming to be D & G domestic Appliances. telling us that our cover has expired. Contaced the real D & G and confirmed that cover is still running. This is a scam.

The caller said they were from Domestic &General about my washing machine warranty. I didn’t give any details but she knew my name and address. I actually do have a warranty with D&G on my washing machine. I told her I couldn’t talk, so as she knew my address, to send what she was trying to tell, in writing, through the post. She put the phone down. It’s rather worrying that she knew my details without being told. Are Domestic &General leaking customer details?

This number is calling regularly, don't recognise it, so I ignore it. No message has ever been left on the answer phone. As with any number that I don't recognise , I automatically assume it's nuisance/scam calls.

These callers should be arrested

Got called today, claiming to be from AVIVA insurance wanting to go over my details.

This number has called three times today Aug 31st as well as twice yesterday Aug 30th my wife answered on both occasions and the asked for me by name but my wife hung up on the caller, whoever they are and what ever they represent they are very persistent, the problem on answering this call the number shows up on our landline phone and the STD code 01206 is local to us in essex. 01206 represents Colchester and surrounding area.

Got ph call just now from 01206 806340 31 August 2022 - I answered the call but did not say anything and they cut the call - I'm down in Cornwall

they call on almost a daily basis, " calling on behalf of D&G" they have nothing to do with D&G I asked them to put the quote in the post and they put the phone down on me. Last year another company called "24/7" were doing the same who "have taken the place of D&G, as they have gone out of business" beware of them a well

Scam insurance

They say they are calling from Domestic and General about a warranty for a washing machine. I’ve spoken to D&G who confirm it’s a scam call based in South Africa.

I had no message left, either. I live in the North of England so their net is widening.

Got ph call just now from 01206806340 30th August 2022 when the answer machine came on they put the phone down I’ve looked number up it’s from some telecommunications in Colchester. I’ve got all my phones registered with the government ICO and I’m still getting these types of calls grrr
