Scam trying to get info out of me. Beware they knew my name, but anyone can get that especially if your data has been leaked by the hackers of M&S, NHS and all the other companies the hackers have done. So basically these people know a few details, but don’t fall for it - they are 100% scamming to get more personal details from people!

Called asking me to verify my information reference a car finance claim. He knew my name, address, postcode and telephone number, he then asked for my date of birth, I then started to get a bit nervous, who was I going to give my date of birth to!!! I asked him to tell me who I'd made a claim with, which vehicle finance company, he couldn't tell me.. I asked him to email me verification of who and where he was from, he asked for my email address, I had him, I had put the email address on the form, so he should have known it. Be careful guys, I nearly fell for this one.

Pretending to be a home energy scheme backed by the government. Foreign gentleman, he cut the call off when I mentioned my involvement in the industry. Clearly just a bunch of scummers.
