The number 09023751000 was advertised recently [Saturday 25 March?] on television, but regrettably I cannot remember whether it was BBC or another station. The advertisement was with regard to a lottery of some kind in which a chart was shown, depicting a large number of letters of the alphabet in squares. Immediately visible were two words, namely ‘heartbeat’ and ‘sunflower’, within different parts of the chart. There appeared to be two prizes to be won, one substantial and the other £9,000+. To join the lottery you had to phone the number [see above] and, on the call being answered, give the name of the TV programme, i.e. heartbeat, and name of the flower, ‘sunflower’. I don’t usually take the slightest bit of notice of such things, but for some reason decided on the spur of the moment to do this. The phone call asked for my name and address, then asked for the answer to Part 1: heartbeat, followed by the answer to Part 2, giving a list of flowers to choose from: answer ‘sunflower’. Following this I was advised that I had been entered in the lottery. The call was to cost £3.95 plus phone company’s charge. Unfortunately, I am unable to give the name of the organisation who was conducting the lottery as I had not been taking any notice initially when the advertisement first began. It all happened 7very quickly, and I only had time to write down the phone number before the advertisement was gone.
