I have also fallen foul of Appliance Direct making money from phone calls to this number 448719844416 avoid it and anything to do with BuyItDirect as well, there is a regular free number available 03300412271 however do check before dialling, things change!!! Appliance Direct have many different company names, to be fair I have used them before and have been pleased but when things go wrong...!!!

I would recommend that anyone thinking of using Appliances Direct should first look at the long list of comments from their unsatisfied customers. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH APPLIANCE DIRECT, WHO ARE A GOOD LEGITIMATE FIRM.

This is the phone number for Appliances Direct (Retailer). I phoned to find out when an advertised microwave, shown as 'out of stock', would be available again. I was charged£1.75 for a 6 minute call, the majority of the time being spent negotiating endless options on the automated switchboard. Turned out the featured oven was no longer manufactured despite it being shown on their website. It is a valid number but clearly a money earning ploy for the company. I will not use this company again.

My experience was not a call to me but my call to them namely to Appliance Direct. I needed some additional information about one of their offerings and phoned this number which is headlined on their web site. What I failed to notice was ( in very small faint script ) a note saying that they charge 13p per minute plus access charges to this number. A 9 minute call to them cost me £2.25 mostly spent waiting whilst they went away to look up what I needed to know. As it turns out they gave me bum info anyway because I ended up having to go direct to the manufacturer. Good isn't it when they try to wring money out of you even when you are trying to buy something from them. I wont be using Appliance DIrect anytime soon.
