Got a call saying it was EE, asked me how my day was going. Just replied with gibberish until they hung up.

Without realising, you almost certainly dialled back a premium rate number. Check for next phone bill. If you pressed 1 or 2, answered "hello" or anything else, then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll be called back sometime later by a con-artist! THESE CALLS ARE SCAMS & HARASSING.

Received a text message with the phrase "Hello, I'm curious. Why is your phone number in my address book and do we know each other?" Not the first time I have had this message out of the blue.

This number called me. How do we check if it is one of those latest scams where you don't answer but later find you have somehow run up a huge bill. Does anyone know?

Try this service www.hellodean.net, Ive used them before and they are effective with getting rid of spam callers. After having this done to them, they are very unlikely to call you back give them a go ;-)

I called them back and I got a automated machine saying about they can wipe debts. Scam!

My I phone rings at 10.52 everyday day no one answers, when you call the number, it says number not recognised.

The above number rings regularly 2 rings on mobile then stops sick of these calls
