So I could not remember an answer to a question. What's my favourite sports team - well I don't have one, no idea what I put. Clicked I couldn't remember. Through me out of the account. Can't reset the password without calling this number. 40 minutes on hold, pass security only to be informed that I had to be transferred to another team to set a password ON THE PHONE! Told them where they can shove that dodgy practice. You do not give anyone your passwords. Ever. Hung up and filled in the online form to close the account. I feel more secure already.
If you have your phone number registered with NS&I, this number is the automated call with the 'MFA' number - to enter into your 'browser' - BUT ONLY IF you are attempting to log into your NS&I account at that time. It announces - "If you are expecting this call" It also ONLY asks you to press the # key, Not a number, *star etc. Then it reads out the number you need to complete your login. If you are not an NS&I customer or were not attempting to login to NS&I THEN THEY HAVE spoofed the NS&I phone number and are indeed trying to scam you in some way!
This is NS&i automated call to give a security number for logging into their site. You have to request the call. You press one if you want the code number.
- As stated above this was a spoof after I called ns&i to change my password. Someone has spoofed their number.
Received a recorded message on my answerphone saying "If you are expecting a call from this number then please press hash key" This phone number belongs to NS&I and I believe it is being spoofed.
I have a document to be sent by FedEx to NS&I, Sunderland, SR43 2SB and the document already reached UK. FedEx requires me to provide a full address including the street name, street number. I should be grateful if you could email your full address to [email protected]
