I had the exact same message. I checked my account and no transaction appeared. Given the other comments on here, the email i received is most likely a phishing scam.
Exactly the same as above. Scam email trying to get ne to contact the phone number listed.
This phone number appeared in a suspicious email to me containing details of a fictitious payment. The email purported to come from Paypal but was not from a Paypal email address. "Thank you — your payment of £1,238.87 has been successfully received. " "If this transaction was not authorised or appears incorrect, please contact us immediately at +44 800 208 4912"
I received a similar email too, literally the same content as yours.
