Similar experience as others. Scammer claiming to be HSBC phishing for more info. They already had my name and postcode.

Rang saying from HSBC, when I said I was wary they told me to check the number on the HSBC website as it matches, HSBC send pushes through banking app if genuine in my past experience, asked if I had set up a direct debit today, when I said I was suspicious and I would hang up and ring HSBC back myself they hung up on me.

Had the same experience as others re this number, had numerous calls but didnt answer and looked up comments on this website (THe Best) when i finally spoke to them they gave me the HSBC story, but i stopped him short when he started asking for personal details and i told him he was a scammer and hung up on him. would you believe no more calls!

called from HSBC today - funnily enough I have been talking to HSBC so thought this might be genuine. The lady in a northern English accent said 'my system has crashed, can I get your account number and sort code.' They are really convincing. I said 'as if I am going to talk to you. call me back when you have the information.' These people are good. The accent made me think she was calling from HSBC because the lady i spoke to last week sounded the same...

Pretending to be from HSBC, knew my name, post code and date of birth. Hang up and called HSBC and they confirmed it's a fraud.

Appears to come from HSBC. Previously called from 0345 587 3660. Another number flagged as being from a fraudster. Please note, I spoke to a person on the latter number and was convinced it was genuinely from HSBC. Beware.
