Automated voice on the landline said there was a message and wanted me to press 1. It kept ringing late in the evening, so I left it and checked the number afterwards.
No message. The call terminated after two rings but did not identify as 'nuisance' as rhis type of call does.
On 02/05/2026, I submitted a report identifying the caller as BT with commentary about 'curfew' times. This morning I noted blocked calls from this company timed at 04.06 and, so far, a further call at 06.05. This is surely harrassment. I have contacted the Information Commissioners Office via TPS to demand something is done about this dreadful company.
It is BT stating sms options regarding timing of receipt of text messages. Press 1 apparently to change 'curfew' times. The caller is persistent having called me at least six times each of the last few days. The calls are now blocked but still show up in the log.
This is NOT A SCAM. I am being pestered by calls from this number - as late as 10:28pm. It is Openreach being totally unprofessional calling people at unreasonable hours, asking them to go to a weblink (from a landline!!! not possible) to confirm an appointment to install Digital Voice. The recorded message doesn't start to play until about 30-40 seconds, so people think it's a scam. I would love to call their chairman at a late hour and see how they like it !!!
Didn't answer it, they didn't leave a message. If it was real, BT would have left a message. Another pain in the neck!
Rang repeatedly from 0845 to 1530 on EASTER DAY 😡…started again at 0845 on Easter Monday and still trying at 1020am.I will not answer , it leaves no message.
No message left at all, I don't usually answer these type of calls, in the light of all the scams plaguing the world 😞
Called several times over 2 days with message saying BT SMS text service press 1 to answer or 2 for more options. Is it genuine? I don 't know so I just hung up.
Just rang - automated male voiced message claiming to be the BT sms system; apparently I have an SMS from vodafone which seems suss 'press 1 to listen' etc I've had calls from the sms system before and it was a female voice which just read out them so assume this is a scam to divert me to a chargable number

They rang my landline at 00.29 and woke me up but I didn’t answer
They talked about housing repairs………I own my own house so it’s 100% a scam
They called pretending to be my bank. I called my bank directly and there is no issue with my account. This is a scam.
Had a horrible voicemail left from this number
