Scam test accompanied by an 0800 call from what was purported to be the fraud team of the bank asking me to press 1. Very complex scam trying to get people to give their online/mobile banking reset details
Had a text from this number claiming they had declined a transaction for adblock £1.99 asking me to text y to authorise or n to decline. Blocked the text as spam and soon after received an automated phone call on 0800 015 2006 number claiming to be my banks fraud office about a fraudulent transaction and tried to get me to answer date of birth question to verify me. Again blocked this as spam and phoned my bank and credit card company on known numbers I keep. In both cases they confirmed they had not tried to contact me and would never initiate an outward call, only text.
I received a text from this phone number to verify if I had used my credit card number. However, I did not call this number back was messaged that the number called could not accept my call. so I used my bank offline phone number to verify the problem. I got it sorted in the end but the original problem was because my Macdonald app account tried to take 0.0 pence out of my credit card. This is what caused the lock.
NatWest credit card transaction check number - seems legit
I received a message from "supposedly" the RBS informing me that there was suspicious activity on my RBS credit card and that I should check my spending on the card & if there is anything that looks wrong to call that number 07723463825 They said they had blocked my card. I checked my spending & it was all correct but I had to call that number to get it unlocked. When I called that number it answered to RBS & kept me waiting quite a while. The lady who answered (Maya) said they did not deal with credit cards & put me thru to that dept. The man (Adile) said they did not deal with RBS credit cards only LLOYDS & Halifax & BOS. I finally got thru to RBS credit card fraud dept. And cleared it up, . But I am now concerned as to the original call to 07723463825 as she had my full name and creditcard number. Is this a fraudulent call number or not. Patricia
This was in regards to a text to note a declined payment I had not initiated from this company. Money has been taken from my credit card.
