I have not had a call from this number before. They phoned my landline around 2pm, an Indian woman saying that she was BT Openreach (it's a private number!)and that my online access was now public, no longer private. She listed a number of things that might have caused this, and was clearly about to ask me to go and check the router when I asked her my name. This threw her completely and must not have been in the script. After a bit of hesitancy she said Mrs Clark. I said this was not my name, which is true, and she wasn't sure what to say to that. When she asked to speak to Mrs. Clark I said there was no Mrs. Clark at this address or associated with this phone number. After an even longer pause she said they would update their records! Then she hung up. I wonder what would have happened if I had been Mrs. Clark. But it's interesting, bjecause I've had quite a few calls for Mrs. Clark over the years for loft insulation etc., and every time I have told them thereis no Mrs. Clark at this address, but it makes no difference.. I have blocked the numb9er.
