i am getting very tired of these calls as this is the third one in less than a week, plus one I missed which was probably the same people. I block the number every time but they just come through again with the same scam on a different number. It's a recorded woman's voice. She says she's calling from 'bank security' (no name specified, or Barclaycard), and that there are two suspicious transactions this morning on my card: £199 from Amazon and £899 on Zoom (the actual figures change but are always high). She says I have never bought from these companies before - Well, she's right about Zoom, but I but from Amazon all the time, so that's an indication that it's a scam. She says I should press 1 to confirm the payments and 2 to cancel and be transferred to 'bank security'. At no point does she mention my name, which she should know if this is a genuine call. Neither does she ask me any security questions like my date of birth. I never press a number, so I don't know what would happen if I did.
