Call from out of hours service in reference to a concerning family member's blood test result, asking them to have it repeated at the hospital the following day. Legitimate.

He introduced himself by a doctors name and said he was calling from the Out Of Hours service which I've never heard of. It gave me concerning news about the result of a blood test I had today which makes me think it was genuine but how can I be sure?

1st time call asked a person name who did not live here then tried to check the number they had rang,so I told them they should know as they had just rang it possible scam
