Called the company to speak with the owner/director ( Indian accent), as the contract with water expired. Looked up the supplier number, and its definitely not the one. Informed them that I won't transfer as they are scammers. They hung up.
Asian sounding women said she was from British Telecom,wanted me to confirm my address,when I asked her to prove she was BT she hung up
Definitely a scam. Hang up immediately.
Called making out to be from National Grid 'meter department' having had a complaint from nPower about our meter and wanting to fit a new one. Didn't know our key account contact or proper email address (had just taken one from our website). Wanted me to take a photo of the current meter (with current reading) and most recent energy bill, then send via WhatsApp to them - after which they would confirm everything in writing by email to us. When challenged on this they said they'd put it in writing (they didn't). I spoke with National Grid customer services, verified this is a scam.
Called claiming to be from National Grid, that there was a problem with the meter and the wrong consumption was being charged. they needed to come and replace the meter. They knew the supplier and MPAN number but when questioned further they hung up.
CC payments scam, thick asian accent and full if bs
3times suddenly. I didn’t take them.
