James from Vodafone called offering a promo. He had an Indian accent. When I asked him how he got my number he quickly hung up. I dialled the number but message says I’ve dialled an incorrect number
Sub continent accent. Hung up when I didn't reply. Service provider automatically warned of possible scam call. Number now blocked.
Don’t give any information guys. Ones I’ve been scammed and they make a contract for the new iPhone on my name.
Call ended when they didn't get my name correct.
They called me this afternoon but thankfully my phone silences unknown numbers. They didn’t leave a voicemail which is another sign (to me) that they’re spammers
I picked up , they hung up? Just checked the number and it was clearly a scam 😤
Had same rubbish as the many previous people reporting these low lives.
Called me twice. Phone goes dead when I answer. Going to block the number
Claimed to be from EE offering 40% off my deal. Asked for him to confirm my name and refused multiple times, called him a scammer and he hung up. Heavy Indian accent as many others on this site have noted.
Got a text from o2 security saying I had requested a one time code. Phone rang straight away from this number. Looking at the comments it's obviously a scam and someone trying to access my account.
Just received call, garbled message, have blocked.
Said they were from Vodafone, heavy Indian accent made her repeat herself 10 times until she hung up.
Scam phone call, pretending to be from EE and tried to state that I was due an offer on my plan. I hanged up as it wasn't EE.
Called & claimed to be from EE, Indian man, not very clear demanding I told him how much my mobile bills were per month. I declined to give any info & said he was a scammer insisted he wasn’t ! Blocked number beware SCAMMER Northern Ireland
Said 30% off my EE bl, hung up after i said im not from EE. Scammers
Pretended to be from EE. An Indian bloke with heavy accent pretending to have an English name Dave from Essex. Offered me a discount on my bill but couldn't tell me my name or how much I paid already so he got shirty when I told him I was't sure he was from EE. Lost his temper, became quite obtuse and incoherent, accent became even less disguised as Dave and more like Sanjay from Delhi. I told him to put his boss on the line and he put the phone down. Next time I will not be polite but then it might even be genuine knowing my luck ...
SCAMMER - They fake the number then say they're calling from O2 to give a 40% discount for being a good customer because I pay my bills on time, but couldn't tell me my name, anything about my bills in particular, and wouldn't accept any other form of ID check. I knew straight away they were scammers so washed their time for 15-20 mins asking why the text "they" had sent told me not to give them the code they wanted. They said they needed to verify I owned this number but couldn't tell me why this was needed considering they were CALLING ME ON THAT NUMBER! They're entering numbers on the O2 website, where you need to put in a pin code that's texted to you, to prove it's your number. If you give ANYONE that pin code, you've lost your account & need to call O2 ASAP! I've worked for O2 and this is so outside the way should contact you, it's ridiculous. If you're ever not sure if a call is legitimate, hang up and call the company using the contact info on your paperwork or their official website. Legitimate companies are ALWAYS Ok with this and will give you a reference number or name yup all for when you call back later. NEVER call a cold-caller back on a number they give to you. EVER! BTW If you're feeling a bit mean, please feel free to waste their time as much as possible (using fake details if necessary) so they have less time to spend on possible victims ୧(^ 〰 ^)୨
Called by this number offering deals from O2. At the same time received text’s with code. Was suspicious so hung up and contacted O2 who confirmed it’s a scam. Their messages originated from O2 UK whereas O2 use O2UK, no space.
I answered and the person said they were calling from O2 and then said ‘your network provider’. I’m calling to offer a 30% discount on your next bill.’ I’m with a different network so I hung up. It was hard to hear anyway as it sounded like they were in a train station or somewhere public with announcements. Seems like a scam.
Just received a call from this number, unsolicited of course. The man with an indian accent wanted to know about my phone account. Told him to go packing, very politely of course
answered and hung up as knew it would be rubbish and this site confirms so thanks.
Just got phone call saying it was vodafone. Said I was sim only which I just changed yesterday said I could have new phone by tomorrow for £21 a month. I asked them what I was paying now, surprisingly couldn't answer. Never asked any security questions. Bye bye. Scam.
Claimed to be EE offering me 40% discount on my Tesco Mobile 🤣 I played around wi to him for a while before getting under his skin! Please guys, don’t hang up or dodge the call, prank them back and waste their times! Scum
Rang but hung up before I could answer - no message I read the comments and blocked!
Did not answer phone but caller called today and was quite persistent.
Answered using a Company name and they hung up, call blocked and reported as spam
Btw sorry “sam” for making you cry, maybe try not scamming people
Tried to tell me he’s Sam from o2 When I asked him to tell me my name, cause o2 would know that 😂 he started panicking and saying his name is Sam. He then asks me to tell me my name and I said o2 would know that wouldn’t they and he started crying and shouting at me to tell me my name to him.
Just got a call from this number. Could not understand what the caller was saying due to poor line so I hang up. Tried to call back but it says not available. Blocked the number now.
Said from EE and ask about my SIM Plan and phone so they can give me a offer and try to get my name and address. I told that I have got a Free Sim , She hung the phone saying Fuck off.
Called from EE offering a 40% discount and a handset, asked me what I was paying on my contract, when said well if you really are from EE you would have that info and as you aren’t I won’t be supplying you that information. They hung up.
Asian voice pretending to be calling for the EE network
My phone flagged this number as "Suspected Spam". The phone rang 3 times and then stopped. I've blocked the number.
The same me o2 and can take off 30% from my bill
Blank call. Nobody on the other end. Research suggests it's an O2/EE telephone scam. Number blocked. Numbers also blocked associated with this number 020 4599 6814/15/16/18.
Claimed to be from o2 even though my phone isn't with o2. Pure scam.
Thickest Indian accent I've ever heard, impossible to believe a reputable company based in London would hire a voice like that to contact their customers. I really hope nobody, especially elderly, will be a victim of this scum. There must be a way of suing this phone number and tracking these criminals down, right?
Called me three times in the last hour, thanks for heads up
Claimed to be from EE network gave his name as Michael however very thick Indian accent obviously Scam call
I automatically block numbers which do not speak to me when I answer the phone, as they are obviously calls from a contact centre based outside the UK
OMG - they called on my personal number -blocked. Then 10 mins later called on my work one. Someone needs to get GDPR on to these people!
Saying they were O2 and offering a discount code! Definitely a scam
Answered but said nothing. They hung up. Now blocked. Cheers for the heads up people.
said they were from EE network and wanted to lower my monthly bill. Asked me how much was my last bill - said to them "you tell me its on your system " caller hanged up
This IS a scam, they say they are from O2 get a text sent to your phone then ask for the code, "DO NOT GIVE THEM THE CODE" O2 will NEVER ask for the code. block number.
I gave the ma fake code, they checked then hung up on me..... pity because I was going to ask for a tikka masala
Indian man said he was from EE sales department, asked how much I'm paying for my phone, I said he should know, he said he does but would like to verify who I am, I said he doesn't even know my name and I don't believe he is from EE, he hung up.
Offered me latest IPhone with SIM card with unlimited calls texts and data for £30 a month. Whilst claiming they will pay off the rest of my contract 😂😂😂. They hung up on me once I told them the reviews they were getting on this page. Stay safe guys.
Claimed to be from O2, recieved a text message to "retrieve" my O2 account - Caller asked me to read the number for them, text literally says not to even give the number to O2 staff. Hung up. They tried to ring back so blocked.
I didn't answer the call. I will now block the number. Thank you all for your comments.
Caller with strong Bengali accent told me his name was Peter. I immediately hung up !
Scam caller pretending to be from mobile network.
call centre, was a pause before connecting then line dropped out
Indian woman claiming to work for a vague phone company
I answered, stayed silent, and it hung up. Now blocked. Thanks for everyone here with pointers.
claimed to be from O2 very strong accent and lots of noise in background (theirs) think was offering a 40% something but I could not understand him. I am not an O2 customer. Will block.
Fake caller from O2 which i don't even subscribe to?
Called pretending to be from 02: wanted to save me money and ‘reduce my bills’. Very funny, esp. as I’m not with that network. Asked him (“Christopher”) to just send me the cash. He was confused and mildly annoyed, which was also very funny.
Didn't answer call, but not with O2 and as multiple replies mention this information I would block the number if called as they're obviously not legitimate.
Called to say they were from O2 and that they would send me some text messages to show that I have received a 20% discount on my mobile bill. I cut the call and blocked them.
Multiple calls from this number last few days. Said to do with EE - I am not with EE. Caller hung up. Will now block the number following comments here
Called claiming they where from EE and said I could get £40 off bill. They could not confirm how much I paid a month, my email address or my initials so did not continue conversation.
Calling mutable occasions. Indian woman, speaking extremely fast and rambling on about 40% discount. Apparent scam.
Did not answer as Samsung Smart Call identified it as Suspected Spam/Telemarketer
They said they were with EE, they knew or guessed correctly that I was paying a cheaper rate. They wanted my address and I hung up shortly after, realising it was a scam
Caller said they were from O2 network and we’re offering me a promotion and to give them a code which would be sent via SMS. ( I knew this was spam as I received the code followed by a security alert from O2 seconds before the call.) when I played along with the call to waste their time by giving them the wrong 6 digit code and constantly saying pardon and could you repeat that the gentleman “from o2” followed up by telling me to go f*** myself and my mother.
02045996817 Said they were O2 and wanted to give me 40% off for being a 'good customer'!
Says calling from O2 network... When asking who he was looking to speak to he couldn't give an answer. Asking for SIM details. O2 don't randomly call asking for details, nor do they call for promotions! Especially with preferences set to email only and my number being on TPS register Don't entertain these people
Female with Asian accent said she was from 02 I said I’m not with 02 and ended call number is now blocked call came 2 mins ago
This number called me yesterday claiming to be EE - I’m not even an EE customer so I hung up. They called again about an hour later which I didn’t answer and then called again today. This time I answered and it said ‘you have been kicked from your conference call’ in an automated voice then the call ended.
some bullshit from a fake O2 telephone donkey. offering discount on a line that doesn't exist. try harder scam bitches
Called claiming to be from "O2 Network" not a name I think O2 uses themselves.
Phone went dead after caller gave name which I could not hear properly due to accented caller.
They asked me for my SIM card details for a “promotion”. I blocked the number without giving to the man on the phone my details.
