Received a Barclays email. I have no Barclays account. It was to set up a payment with a dental practice in Shrewsbury. Avoid
I received an email from Barclays advising that a new payment had been set up and if I authorised it I need do nothing. However, if I had no knowledge of it, I needed to call a this number. Having checked the email address it was sent from and seeing it looked odd, I thought I would check on here about the phone number. Combining the 2 searches, I am under no illusion that this email was nothing but a scam and if I had called, the person on the other end would have tried to get me to part with various bits of information to their own ends.
