Tony from BT went through the process of getting the copper line disconnected and really helped us out

Claimed to be Tony from BT, initially about changing our infrastructure in the future before leading onto how many phones and PC's we had in the business. Get rid as soon as you can.

Call sating that they were from BT our provider and that we had a copper line that was going to be disconnected and we would lose connection. We haven't used BT for many years so clearly a scam.

Tony from BT said a line was going to be decommissioned and that this may mean the premises would lose connection. Wanted to get through to manager but didn't know name of said manager, despite them being our provider.

The caller claimed to be from BT and stated that there were unused ISDN lines in my business premises which were going to be disconnected next month. Of course, this was concerning and he then asked me a series of questions - did I have a fax machine, were their VOIP phones on the premises. the brand name of the phones that were being used. He kept repeating the address to me and when I told him that this was a 6 storey building which was occupied by many businesses, he hung up.

Called out of the blue claiming to be BT and tried to pressurise a next day meeting with a rep who just happened to be in the area. Got a little upset and abrupt when I said not to arrange the meeting and that I wanted to check their claims with our current supplier. They put the phone down, not even a goodbye!
